  A bit lengthy, and at times, incomprehensible (to me), The World of Silence fared well enough for me. While it ain't no masterpiece, it wasn't trashy either. It got me immersed in it soon after it began. The whodunit theme seemed to be appealing. But after a point, while I wasn't... read more bored by the movie, I no longer cared about whodunit and why done it. Somehow I lost interest in it and I really don't know who's to be blamed for that. I'm not saying that I lost interest in the movie, just in whodunit part. The movie didn't put me off till the end despite of the fact that the going-ons weren't so intriguing. The movie lost its excitement level after the initial moments. I'm ready to overlook that aspect, but the climax is ridiculously terrible.
  
  What impressed me the most was the performances by the actors. Sang-kyung Kim excels in the role of Detective Kim, a damn-lazy-cum-smart cop. Yong-woo Park also fits well enough for the mysterious role of Jung Ho. The child actress was also impressive.
