I really, really liked this movie. Jeremy Sisto does a very good job. This is one of those movies that I never even heard of, but it turned out to be VERY interesting.

Heartbreakingly sad film about a woman seeking absolution from a priest unable to give it. Powerful emotions are in play with this multi-layered story that easily could have slid into a lurid sex tale but managed to stay above the fray. Jeremy Sisto as the jaded priest who finds new purpose and Kristen Chenowith as the young woman were superb. The supporting cast performed ably and the dark streets of Minneapolis served as the backdrop for this morality tale. Surprisingly well done, and extremely tasteful, respectful treatment of a very sensitive subject. Wow!

This movie is painfully boring. I love Jeremy Sisto and usually enjoy Kristin Chenoweth, but this is just awful. There's very little plot, and what little there is, is very forgettable. The acting is very wooden and surfacey and I really don't think I'll remember anything about t... read morehis movie within a few days. The synopsis definitely makes this sound a lot better than it is.

A compelling indie drama which also manages to be funny and suspenseful. It relies heavily on the acting from the not-so-well-known cast. Jeremy Sisto is surprisingly good and is almost unrecognizable in the lead role.

I thought this movie had a chance to be good, but I didn't think it would be great. It's not perfect, mind blowing, or genre changing, but it is just good. Good in the sense that the actors play their parts very well. Good in the sense that the plot, camera work, and script wo... read morerk well together. Good in the sense that it has a moral message. I'm not Catholic, but I am Evangelical. But the movie doesn't shy away from the issues and problems facing the Catholic church: dwindling congregations, homosexuality, view of women, and the church government. However, that is not the main thrust of the movie. It's about a Priest seeking to save a woman. Pure and simple. It's a simple story, but still amazing. Now a few things bugged me. The music was ok, but just didn't fit at times with the moment or the edit. That's the other thing that bothered me. The editing didn't seem great. Also the script was awkward at times. It felt indie at times, but actually still came off very very well. Those music, editing and script issues were very minor and rarely took away from the movie. I highly recommend it and it also led me to a great musician who sang through the credits: Abigail Washburn.

Entertaining. If nothing else, it was interesting seeing "Kevin" from the Office play a serious role, and if not for the integral role of the Catholic Church (and message therein), I would have enjoyed the movie quite a bit more.

Strange thing about this movie; nothing exciting really ever happens, but I was never bored or disinterested. I really found myself worried and wondering what would happen to Linda, although I probably always knew in the back of my mind. Fine drama, beautifully and convincingly acted by all. The story is very interesting and you never lose interest. Subtle score, very believably presented.

Into Temptation doesn't break ground as a story, even one about redemption. Even so, Coyle's understanding of the pastoral work of the parish priest is refreshing. Full Review
