The characters are not very likable, but they are never boring, and are quite fascinating. The dialogue is well-written, very biting, and makes for some really good battles of wit and ego. Buscemi (Who stars, directs, and co-wrote the script) is fantastic as the frustrated, bitte... read more

Good performances from both actors and nicely directed by Buscemi but for all its theatrics, its let down by a predictable and unimpressive 'Twist' ending. Worth watching for the script alone!

If you watch the trailer for Interview you may be left with the impression that you're about to watch a throwaway episode of Iconoclasts. But if and when you actually watch the movie you're going to be in for something different. Crap, pretty much. Interview started off alright ... read more

I at first found all the emotional twists and turns to be off-putting, but once I gleened that this was all about role playing and that what was being said at any particular time was either false or a half-truth, this film worked for me.
Yes, it is a lightly veiled 2 person pla... read more -

Interview is a recent film directed by and starring consistently brilliant actor Steve Buscemi. In fact, it is a remake of a 2003 film of the same name by deceased Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh. Buscemi stars as Pierre, a political journalist who is forced to do a interview with ... read more

I thought Buscemi was ok in the flick but I really didn't feel as if the movie was telling a story. The conversation shifted heavily so fast that i was wondering if these people had some sort of A.D.D. issue.
It's a good premise but I don't think it was pulled off as well as it ... read more -

The movie was very simple and there's pretty not much to the movie except observe the beauty of Sienna Miller. After falling out with his editor, a fading political journalist is forced to interview America's most popular soap actress.

This was a great tribute to Van Gogh by Buscemi! Very clever story..and it made me decide to give Sienna Miller another chance.

Critic Reviews
This movie keeps falling out of rhythm just when it should be picking up pace. It's a fitful piece of wrong beginnings and false ends. Full Review
Interview feels more like a lab experiment/tribute than a committed, personal drama, leaving us with the sense that Buscemi wanted to feel more connected to this material than he actually did. Full Review
Buscemi's film conveys the spirit of its source material but doesn't make a satisfying transmogrification out of its homage. Full Review
Stick with it for Miller's gutsy tour de force and the kick of watching Buscemi, as actor and filmmaker, turn an experiment into a mesmerizing battle of wills.
I'll just say that Buscemi, who also directed and co-wrote, knows a lot about making movies but little about journalism. Full Review
Interview has its moments but they can't prevent it from feeling a little long winded and unsatisfying. The premise makes it sound more interesting than the in-theater experience delivers. Full Review
An eminently watchable contest between two actors at the top of their games. Full Review
Mr. Buscemi and Ms. Miller prove that they are fully up to the task of carrying a whole movie on their shoulders without any help from the other characters. Full Review
A bitter, darkly funny little slice of arsenic, with some of the most stinging dialogue since Closer.
