Ma throws two inept thugs (Damon Wayans and Kadeem Hardison) sent by the evil white guy Mr. Big (John Vernon) down a flight of stairs. Junebug owes $5,000 to Mr. Big for his gold-chain addiction and tries to force Cheryl into prostitution to pay off the debt. Jack recruits his old friend to go after Mr. Big to seek revenge. John Slade (Bernie Casey), Hammer (Isaac Hayes), Slammer (Jim Brown) Kung Fu Joe (Steve James) and the former Pimp Of The Year Flyguy (Antonio Fargas) join up with Jack to avenge his brother' death. Chris Rock makes a brief appearance as the annoying customer who risks his life by irking rib joint owner Hammer. Funny and fast paced, the writing, acting, sight gags and cameos by Robert Townsend, Peggy Lipton, Clarence Williams III, Eve Plumb (Jan from The Brady Bunch), Kim Wayans, and Gary Owens makes this a must-see for any comedy fan. ~ Dan Pavlides, Rovi

Keenan my Man! This Movie has to be one of the Silly and Funniest Movies I have ever seen. Why wouldnt it be, Keenan never dissapoints me.

There are no words to describe just how amazing this film is. It salutes respectfully the blaxploitation era and the actors, with a clever hint of satire ( whereby the baddie is a White rich man, keeping black people down..) but most importantly it has the best jokes I have ever ... read moreseen - just remembering Issac Hayes putting all those guns in his pockets then tripping and being shot to death by ALL his own guns, brings a tear to my eye. Fantastic.

Please go see this film, I just happened to perchance the film, with my Mum and sister late one night on TV, and I really wanna buy it, but I don't know where it would still sell.If anyone does know please post it in the comments.

    Cheers

This one is pretty silly but there are some great things in it. Some of the jokes in this flick had me rolling. It has a great cast ans if you have watched enough of the type of movie it is making fun of you will enjoy it even more.

i have to admit, despite this film being terribly silly, i loved it. it was just hilarious.

This early outing by the Wyans boys is a fitfully funny spoof of 70s blaxploitation films that's occasionally hilarious. But only occasionally. Worth a look if you're a fan of the genre.

Definitely has its moments--especially if you catch all the references, but not as good as I remember.

Chis Rock's part is the best.
    Classic KIW.

I?ve come not to expect much from these kind of wacky spoof movies, and I?ve come not to expect much from the damn Wayan Brothers, but this thing really did suck. The movie does not have any kind of plot to speak of, it just tries to go from joke to joke. I could live with that... read more but this isn?t funny? at all. I hate these kind of lame, goofy, random-ass jokes even in the so-called classics of this genre like Airplane. The movie is actively stupid and shows no insights whatsoever into black culture or the blaxsploitation genre. I was actively bored throughout the film?s running time. The only thing keeping it from getting zero stars is the fact that it is neither morally offensive or technically incompetent, and there?s a mildly amusing Chris Rock cameo.

In many respects this is a black counterpart to The Naked Gun, and very nearly as funny; the bounty of antimacho gags is both unexpected and refreshing. Full Review

I'm Gonna Git You Sucka is a lively but uncertain mixture of nostalgia, silliness and genuinely unpredictable humor. Full Review

Although, like all good satires, it is cheerfully willing to be offensive, it is almost completely incapable of being funny. Full Review

It's not that Wayans lacks wit, it's that he's stomped it to death. Full Review

Wayans' choosing to play romantic lead seems more narcissistic than smartly comic (watch him unleash those built biceps once too often); he lacks an unidentifiable shtick. Full Review

Unrelenting, unremitting, a brilliant broad-brush of a parody. Full Review

In offering up this affectionate parody of the old movies, Wayans also turns a satiric eye on black culture in general -- but in an inoffensive, lighthearted manner. Full Review
