Good fun film that is really up my alley for the setting but it is a rip on many other film ideas, character wise its abit close to call really haha certain Tim Burton ideas are obvious. The look of the film is really cool, I love it, its dark n kooky and has a nice humour about ... read more

An original and entertaining film. Yeah it's not on the same intelligence levels as some Disney/Pixar films but this is extremely underrated. It teaches children to love who they are and have high goals no matter who they are. Some very funny moments and truly heartwarming. Extre... read more

I am really torn about this movie. Igor is a great story, terrifically funny, very tightly written and peopled with really engaging characters. But the end result is just so... ugly. The animation is so damn crude that it really takes you out of the story. Every single character ... read more

This animated film is sort of a riff on the original Frankenstein film, but it adds its own elements to the mix. It is entertaining and has some amusing moments, but it's not what I would call hysterical. There's romance angle which works well here, and there are a few goo... read more

I don't understand why animations have to be this way. Villain, romance, sidekicks, slapstick, action etc. I know they want to be enjoyed by the whole family, but do they really need to cover all these bases? Igor is a pretty decent effort that hasn't come from one of the big stu... read more

"Igor" may at some points seem corny, but it is stupendously clever and pleasantly dark. John Cusack gives a wonderful voice performance.

"Pull the switch!"
Animations are almost everytime huge hits that bring back a lot of cash to the production companies. Metro Goldwyn Mayer's "Igor" wasn't one of 'em. Ok, it brought back its production costs but most of the so called target audiences avoided the film.

Igor, like the Frankenstein's monster at the centre of its tired plot, looks like something cobbled together out of used, very used, parts. Full Review
While much of the banter between the characters is inventive, the plot turns are predictable - complete with a romantic misunderstanding straight out of The Karate Kid (and 20 other films). Full Review
Pieced together from Tim Burton and various other sources with more desperation than inspiration. Full Review
You can think of it as an animated riff on the American dream: Our fate is determined not by the accident of our birth, but our own will, intelligence and talent. And let's not forget serendipity. Full Review
My kid went with it, and I had a fairly good time, as I waited for the reappearance of a marble-mouthed peasant tart, voiced by Jennifer Coolidge. Half the time her line readings are hilarious, and it... Full Review
To convince you that it's full of surprises, the movie throws in Louis Prima songs where they don't belong, and it riffs on classic monster-movie cliches mostly by spinning them into newly unfunny cli... Full Review
A Frankensteinian mishmash of parts, with drawings that are derived from Tim Burton grafted onto a script filled with Shrek-style sarcasm. Full Review
There's scant reward for sitting through Igor, an animated twist on the Frankenstein story that never sparks to life.
