This true drama based on the memoirs of Kuki Gallmann was so emotionally and sadly when she got homestead on a farm in Africa with her new husband and young son.

Kim Basinger was excellent in this. The whole film is wonderfully exotic and beautifully shot.

Similar in many ways to out of Afica, a Bride with Romantic Notions Moves to Africa & ends up mostly alone while her husband lives his dream of Hunting, till she meets Perez.Quite Lovely Really.

Meh. I'm sure Kuki Gallman's a wonderful person. But this movie version of her life seemed little more than a cut-rate OUT OF AFRICA.
