An aging professional (Michelle Pfeiffer) with little luck in love has finally found a fitting companion in the form of a much younger man (Paul Rudd). As her relationship threatens to move beyond something simply physical, her adolescent daughter (Saoirse Ronan) begins to wonder if the strange tingling sensation that she feels when she's in the company of a handsome local boy could possibly be the thing grown-ups refer to as "love." Of course anything is possible when Mother Nature (Tracey Ullman) is up to her old mischief, and with higher powers at play there's no telling what will come of the relationships experienced by these two love-starved souls. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Should not have gone direct-to-DVD. The presence of the Mother Nature character and Tracy Ullman's portrayal is done perfectly. Everything else is messy, with great writing popping out here and there. Stacey Dash is a pleasant surprise. Girl who plays the daughter holds her own w... read moreith the comic experts in the cast.

Cute and at times funny movie with Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd as a couple. Pfeiffer is a single mom of a young teen and producer of a show that Rudd's character is in. Great chick flick. I had zero expectations on this one, so it was a nice surprise. I didn't quite love the "mother nature" character, but it's a small gripe. Michelle Pfeiffer looks great in this, I had no trouble buying that the younger guy would go for her. Also I was impre... read moressed with Saoirse Ronan as her daughter. Between this and "Atonement", I think she is definitely an actress to watch. This was a nice light film with lots of funny bits, (Stacy Dash as the "Go girl" actress is hilarious), which never drags or gets boring.

I Could Never Be Your Woman is the first film directed by Amy Heckerling (Clueless) in like 7 years. I ended up unexpectedly loving Clueless back then, and this film definitely has that same vibe, as well as many of the same cast members, including Rudd, Stacey Dash, and Wallace ... read moreShawn. The movie was a light, fun romantic comedy that I enjoyed quite a bit (though I could have done without Tracy Ullman's "Mother Nature"). Michelle Pfeiffer makes a nice return from her movie hiatus in the lead here, after easing back in with her smaller supporting role in Hairspray earlier this summer. Her daughter is played by Saoirse Ronan, a talented young woman who is gonna be breaking out in a big way in the next year with this and roles in several other really big-name films. But the real star here is definitely Paul Rudd, who has proved to be one of the funniest guys around right now. Between this, his involvement with the Apatow crowd, his participation in all manner of projects by alumni of The State, and the rest of his work, he definitely knows how to find good projects and surround himself with equally talented people.

Not as bad as you would consider a movie that went straight to DVD (as it did in the U.S.) but the direction and the timing were very bad. The script was decent though, and there were some funny moments. Michelle Pfeiffer was good, but the VERY underrated Paul Rudd and the Oscar-... read morenominated (and AMAZING) Saoirse Ronan steal the show. The character of "Mother Nature" was unnecessary and Tracey Ullman wasn't any good in it. Stacey Dash (Clueless) was sooo bad and Jon Lovitz and Fred Willard were really unfunny. Special appearance by Graham Norton in the very challenging role of a gay designer!

I am so happy to see Michelle Pfeiffer back in a leading role. Paul Rudd and Michelle Pfeiffer make a good team in this film. Director Amy Heckerling from Clueless fame does another laugh out loud film.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd shine in this comedy. It was also good seeing Amy Heckerling in the director's chair once again. She even brought her Clueless alumni of Rudd, Stacey Dash, and Wallace Shawn for this film. On the negative, I think that TV Show that they worked on s... read morehould have been a different kind of TV Show. Jon Lovitz, to me, seems miscast. Also, some of the dialog needed a rewrite, at least 25% of it. I do recommend the film, especially cause of Pfeiffer and Rudd.

It's a pleasant diversion -- an enjoyable romantic comedy that has enough going for it to make it worth a recommendation. Full Review

A direção de Heckerling é irregular e a montagem é assustadoramente descuidada, mas Pfeiffer e (especialmente) Rudd conferem charme suficiente para tornar o filme divertido.
