An okay monster movie, but really it's just an updated version of some 50s B-movies. It's not too bad, but it's not too good either.

Guys in rubber suits terrorize beachgoers and rape young women. Doug McClure fights on stoically.
Silly, watchable Corman cheapy. -

Sleazy and unpleasant b-picture made oddly enjoyable due to over-earnest or overly hammy performances and some truly shocking editing. One for curiosity value but little else.

March 10, 2012fb555928095If you don't like Roger Corman produced cinema, then you are not likely to enjoy Humanoids from the Deep. If, on the other hand, you appreciate cheaply made and cheesy yet awesome sci-fi/horror cinema, then you will most likely adore the film. It is a film about fish-monsters f... read more

A suprisingly good monster flick. It will never be confused with grade A cinema, but I found this fun and entertaining. Has alot more to offer than the standard B movie.
Actually manages to get some creepy moments and keep the viewer on edge. Doesn't hesitate to cross the line... read more -

Sleazy and amazingly low budget, this movie delivers everything you'd expect from a late night creature feature. Well worth owning, these Roger Corman produced films from the 80's continue to provide hours of entertainment to this day.

Black Lagoon-type creatures attack a California fish town. Too much poor Native Indian BS that would be more at home in a Steven Segal film. An abundance of sex and good gore effects (humanoids do like the ladies who are less than willing). I doubt much of the humor was intention... read more

Even on the Corman scale of quality, Humanoids is a decidedly lesser effort -- but that's not to say you won't have some fun. Full Review
Takes the theme of the Julie Adams-lusting 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' to an extreme that the censors would not have allowed in the 1950s... Full Review
You really need to go back and see how it was done back in the day ... with reckless abandon and lots of splattery fun in mind Full Review
An unintentionally hilarious fusing of mutated salmon and full frontal nudity
