A crack commando squad investigates a college campus inflected with a zombie virus in House of the Dead 2, a film that boldly continues where Uwe Boll's inept first film left off. When a demented prof... read more read more...essor (Sid Haig) starts to conduct experiments on fresh corpses, all hell breaks loose at Cuesta Verde University as hordes of undead college kids roam the secluded school. Now it's up to government agents Alex (Emmanuelle Vaugier) and Ellis (Ed Quinn) to find the zombie blood strain that initially started the epidemic so that a cure can be discovered. In their way are a student body of flesh-eating zombies and an inexperienced army unit headed by Dalton (Sticky Fingaz) that is assigned to aide them. Broadcast as a Sci-fi Channel exclusive in early 2006, the film was released to DVD in all its gory goodness shortly thereafter. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

Overall this is a better made film compared to the first one, but not as fun. It's more of traditional zombie film and less of a stylized action-fest but still not a great film. It's a little silly at times but it doesn't sink to the hilarious depths of Uwe Boll's effort.

Lot better than the first but thats not saying much.

I preferred the first, this tries to take it self seriously when it is so cheesey beyond belief. Based on a shooting game and barely has any shooting!?

Once it gets past its first twenty minutes, it's clear House of the Dead 2 is nowhere near as terrible as its predecessor. Yes, it's a very bad movie, with tense moments simply not registering on the fright thermometer and zombies just as silly (and boring) as they come, but... i... read moret simply doesn't live up to the supreme shittiness of the first one, which ultimately makes it a serious waste of time. Yawn.

Good film, perhaps a little better (in quality and gore) than the original. Nothing to write home about, but then again, has anyone ever written home about any movie?

    A great one! Interesting!

Favorable scene is the library scene, with the zombie librarian.

At least it was better than the 1st one even though that is not saying much.

Really the only thing worth seeing about this movie were the zombies...with some actual terrifying situations...other than that, the acting was TERRIBLE! I actually think i rated generously.

Hated it, and I loved the first one. The first House of the Dead made fun of modern zombie movies by using Matrix effect and corny settings, yet the zombies looked really good, like the ones from Burial Ground. Instead, in this movie, the zombies looked terrible, like the ones f... read morerom Sean of the Dead(which was a good movie, just had stupid looking zombies), and took itself, including its jokes, seriously. It was made for TV and you can tell. What a waste of time. This is what happens when you fuck with something Uwe Boll did right.

what can i say other than it SUCKED like HELL!!! it was the worst zombie movie ever....i dont understand why every move about zombies is the same story of the spread of a virus, it they are going to make movies like this, why not bring something original to the movie, some spark,... read more some excitement, something cool and surpirsing......oh well, to get this over and done with i am just going to say "dont waste your time watching this movie, its not worth it at all"

The movie might be schlock, but at least it's good-looking B-schlock. Full Review
