Oh, that Snoop. Apparantly Bones never scared him away from the genre and he now returns with this anthology film. In it's favour, it is entertaining in a cheesy way and quite gory, but the stories...oh dear. They remind me of an anthology novel I wrote when maybe 10 (well I c... read more

So this film is in the vein of Tales from the Crypt and those film that are a trio of horror stories, in this one, Snoop is the story teller. I gotta say, this movie starts off cool. The animated parts are really slick and stylistically done, and the two first stories are pretty... read more

Pretty good movie. I only watched it because it was on FEARnet and was an extra horror fest film. The last story was the best one. The movie was the gangsterish, but it was good.

Critic Reviews
Every story is more trite and less interesting than the one before it, with Snoop taunting the viewer at every turn. Full Review
The lessons offered are pretty good -- misuse of power, ego and friendship among them. But the stories are very predictable, and a bit too bloody, and the acting is uneven. Full Review
Sloppily directed, often amateurishly acted and fixated on booty and blood, Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror is nevertheless gleefully disgusting. Full Review
There's a certain cartoony fun to these simple morality stories, but mostly they serve as an excuse for laughably lame gore. Full Review
Low-budget, tasteless and ridiculous but also fun, in an Old School grindhouse way, as gangsta graffiti artists, not-keeping-it-real rappers and evil rednecks receive their supposedly just desserts (w...
A predictable, cheesy attempt at "splatstick" that doesn't quite work. Full Review
Take Hood of Horrors for what it is. Some will enjoy any excuse for gratuitous violence. It certainly doesn't take itself seriously. But most fans can find plenty of better horror movies to satisfy th... Full Review
Hood of Horror gets dangerously close to minstrel show mentality that Spike Lee has always warned us about. Full Review
