A bittersweet character study, it works remarkably well. You even begin to believe Clint Eastwood in the role. The star's son, Kyle Eastwood, makes an impressive film debut.

A very great film, Clint Eastwood, alongside with his son, Kyle Eastwood, star in this classic 1982 film about a man who is traveling to Nashville to be a star and has some challenges along the way. A very entertaing film.

Not a great movie by and for Eastwood himself but a definite change of pace for him. Kind of hard to be a C&W singer when you cant sing.
