Unbeknownst to Janine, Ben contemplates an affair with Anna (Scarlett Johansson), an attractive woman trying to make a career as a singer. Wow, Ginnifer Goodwin and Scarlett Johansson really did womankind a huuuuge favour by portraying women as unstable, nervous wrecks who spend their entire lives obsessing over signals from men as opposed to, oh, say, doing work or anything. I added half a star for the more mature... read more relationship between Ben Affleck's reliable, charming (too-good-to-be-true) Neil and goodness knows Jennifer Aniston is always a welcome presence. I have never liked Bradley Cooper in any of his roles.

Somewhat painful, but the faux-documentary style was charming and the all-star cast did a lot to make the movie feel authentic. A few great lines in the movie, but too much space between them. I couldn't help thinking that this movie is a poor man's "Crazy Stupid Love" throughout... read more its entirety ... which, from me, is actually high praise.

Best part was that I watched and reviewed it on Flixster. Might have gotten an extra 1/2 star because of that.

Are you the exception...or the rule?

Saw it again! Great movie! I love seeing this film from time to time. Awesome cast! This sumptuous ensemble romantic comedy managed to exceed my expectations in every way. It was extremely hilarious and utterly realistic, and features an ecl... read moreectic cast that all add something different to this intriguing tale of dealing with the pitfalls of dating and marriage. The acting is all pretty faultless, with Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connolly, Brendan Cooper and Justin Long displaying some of their best work. Scarlet is as stunning as ever, and plays the temptress well, but Barrymore is sadly underutilized. In total, I think she might only have 10 minutes worth of screen time, but she does use it well.

In Baltimore, five women and four men try to sort out the signals that the sexes exchange. Gigi imagines every man she meets is Mr. Right; she gets reality checks from Alex, a sweet but cynical saloon keeper. Janine and Ben seem solidly married until he chats with Anna in a market checkout line; meanwhile Anna is indifferent to the pursing Connor. Neil and Beth have been together seven years; she dumps him when she realizes he really and truly isn't going to marry her. Does he love her? And Mary sells advertising while searching on line for a man. Will those in love stay in love? Will those searching figure out who is and who isn't into them? Are men all that different from women?

I know I saw this and rated it. I just don't remember it so much now to be able to write a review about it. :S

When I thought about going to see this movie I wasn't sure I would like it. I mean I wanted to but online from others some said it was good and some said it wasn't worth the bother. Well, today to me, this movie proved to those who said don't bother wrong. The movie centers ar... read moreound three friends: Beth (Jennifer Aniston),Janine (Jennifer Connelly),Gigi (Ginnifer Goodwin),and someone not part of the group of friends Anna (Scarlett Johansson). Beth is trying to deal with the fact that her boyfriend of seven years, Neil (Ben Affleck) doesn't believe in marriage, therefore, this puts her in a situation. Gigi tries to figure out why a guy won't call, which she gets help from a mans side of view Alex (Justin Long), who doesn't know everything he says he does. Janine and her husband Ben (Bradley Cooper), struggle with the difficulties that come with marriage, which becomes worse when Anna and Ben begin sleeping together. Anna's friend Connor (Kevin Connolly), is confused on why Anna won't sleep with him anymore, and someone else that works in the real estate business Mary (Drew Barrymore) just like Connor, is confused on why her myspace love Jude won't call. All in all this movie was very well put together, and to those ladies looking for a good romantic comedy this movie is for you! It's just a very good movie!!! The book is really good too. Just a really good romantic comedy. :) Love it! :) After a long time I constantly find a need to watch this movie :) :) :) :)

Total chick flick. I hate movies with like 6 sub plots and we have to keep up with which is in love with which. All the actors are in the shadow of all the other stories. The stories are really boring, nothing but bad relationship stories, I hated it. If you all want a boring... read more chick flick, please watch this, be my guest.

Funny rom com about dating and falling in and out of love. The movie follows the lives of three female oo-workers Gigi (who is desperate and can't get any guy), Janine (who married her college boyfriend, whose husband happens to have an affair) and Anna (who has been dating the s... read moreame guy for 7 years and he doesn't want to get married). You think from the title of the movie that this is a man bashing movie but quite the opposite. The men turn out well in this movie (apart from Bradley Cooper who is married to Jennifer Connelly and has an affair with Scarlett Johansson. But who wouldn't pick Scarlett?!) Anyway, the women in the movie are de-ranged, paranoid, insecure and freaky. In comparison the men are quite normal and straightforward. Good cast. I was disappointed Drew Barrymore didn't have a bigger role as she is great in rom coms. Scarlett looks amazing. Jennifer Connelly usually plays more serious roles but does well in this rom com movie. Jennifer Aniston is in her element in her stereotypical rom com role. She has a great frame but her face looks drawn and older (maybe her real love life was taking its toll at the time the movie was made). Kevin Connolly and Justin Long are nice guys in the movie. Ben Affleck's character is a gem. If you liked 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' you will like this movie too. Everyone will be able to identify with at least one of the characters. There's a mixed bag. Bradley Cooper is hot!

An entertaining movie consists of various superstars. It turned out to be better than I expected it to be. A lot of sayings should be useful for people to know if he's into you or not and the ending is just turns out to be wonderful. I love this kind of movie where the actors are... read more interconnected with each other and it probably is the best movie of its kind.

All men are assholes and can't be trusted, all women are stupid and are a pain in the arse, this film has some of the best performances ever, is one of the best written scripts of all time and is probably one of the greatest films of all time!!!
