I'm not sure whether this is the page for the OVA (or even just one volume of the OVA), or the series. Either way they're both good, though I like the series a touch more.

Tied with Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust as my favorite horror animation. Great clean and concise rendering of the manga with a visual wallop that whacks anyone, no matter how picky they are about animation.

Hellsing II and Helsing III Ultimate are not quite as good, though they ar... read moree also brilliant, this is the best entry in the Ultimate series so far. Tight script, not a single wasted shot, superbly detailed, and masterfully voiced.

Also, just an interesting vision of modern vampires and related ghouls as well as a great rendering from still to moving pictures of manga art form.

Oh my! What can I say? I wasn't sure about this series as I started it but it was FANTASTIC! Would like to see more of the story, though.

There are plenty of vampire animes out there. Why choose this one? One word. Baddassery. Did I make that word up? Yes. But it is the only word to describe it. You would think vampires wouldn't use guns, wouldn't you? You'd be wrong. Chocked full of violence, suggestive themes, an... read mored action packed goodness. Animation is can be stiff at times, but what anime isn't? It's about an organization called Hellsing in Britain whose sole purpose is to hunt down vampires and ghouls, and their best weapon just happens to be... a vampire! Not just any vampire, THE vampire of vampires. Seemingly 100% invincible, he likes to toy with his opponents, laughing as they shoot him to pieces, while he regenerates. With so many powers up his sleeve, it's interesting to wonder throughout what he'll do next! Great series for any anime collection.
