Even sicker and twisted than the first MBTS film, this one is pure exploitation and loses the documentary style of the first one. It seems this one was just made to shock and repulse, which it does! Gorehounds, like me, will be satisfied for sure. But apart from the gruesomeness,... read more it's quite an average film. For the depraved out there it's a must-see though.

The sequel to one of the most grueling war films plays not like a vicious documentary this time, but like an exploitation film with dramatic doses of romance, horror and action. Only unsubbed and English dubbed versions exist, as with the first film. If it's any indication of the... read more original dialogue, the English dub is freakin terrible and exaggerated, and it seperates you from the film. The plot is in the post WWII era but flashbacks for most of the film's duration to the Unit 731 experimentations, so it's familiar territory if not for the protagonist's side plot. The film has been the subject of controversy worldwide, obviously, but even online, because a lot of websites don't permit the hosting of it. I'm guessing it's because the autopsy scenes, of which there are plenty, are quite vivid looking, or maybe actual corpses were used. Other than the autopsies, there are, again, practically the same disturbing scenes of the first film, but nowhere near as powerful. The obsession of biological terrorism is excessive, but it's expected for a weak sequel that clutches at straws. The climax is superior with respect to the rest of the film, and it made good use of the different plots.
