Does the story sound familiar? Yes, it's been played around with in many films, but this one is good too. The movie has a good cast, and is directed by Warren Beatty as well. This movie has good comedy, and it's enjoyable.

The reluctant ghost is a tried and true tale in Hollywood and it repeated itself in 1978's Heaven Can Wait, a film that was a remake of 1941's Here Comes Mr. Jordan and had a backbone made of its star Warren Beatty. The film is about the quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams Joe P... read more

This is the kind of upbeat screwball comedy Hollywood used to do smoothly and well. Full Review

There are a few laughs from Grodin and Cannon, but Beatty and Christie are like 400-pound gorillas chasing a milkweed seed. Full Review
The film drags its feet uncertainly from beginning to end. Full Review
A comedy classic.....if you've never seen it, you have to ask yourself...why?
A really enjoyable high concept comedy; better than the 2000 remake!
