Ted Danson plays Gulliver who returns from his travels as a giant and as a small person.

    Oh Ted Danson.

Gulliver's Travels is a two-part TV mini-series and the best film adaptation the novel has ever had. It is so refreshing to see all four parts of the novel adapted because usually one the first part gets adapted and I personally feel each part gets better and better. Ted Danson was an odd choice but apparently the right choice as he proves more than capable of carrying the project on his shoulders. It jumped back and forth between the past and the present way too quickly. Just when you get involved in the story, it switches again. Luckily Mary Steenburgen went overboard enough on HER whiny accent to cover the both of them.

I remember seeing this film in parts on one of my local tv channels. Its quite long all together but I'd have to say that it's worth it. The movie has a great cast (Ted Danson, who would have guessed it!) and the director did put time and creativity into it. Not sure how closely ... read moreit follows the original story, but I was entertained.
