yet another love story , carefully crafted, well acted and surprisingly positive albeit it's subject matter.

A perfect love story and tear jerker. Not all the dialog was great, but still recommendable. It's meaningful and tender. Depicting a love and appreciation for life that we all ultimately desire. Well, at least I do anyway. Better to have loved and lost, than to never have love... read mored at all, I know, so cliche, but same general theme. A funny love story?? Sure there were a few funny moments but overall I would not list this as a romantic comedy! More than enough drama was there especially when Phoenix loses it with that woman who was mistreating her child. Excellent performance by Amanda Peet. This was a w... read morearm and touching story and I'm happy that these two characters found love.

As depressing as this movie could be. I still found myself finding it funny and sweet. I smiled, laughed, cried, aww'd. I felt drained by the end, but that's not a bad thing.

I'm not a huge love story movie watcher, so this was one that I must say I would not have watched if not highly recommended by several flixster friends. And am glad I watched it. It is a delightful, funny, up beat love story that does have it's sadness. But chooses to focus on... read more the funny, happier side of living life to the maximum, no matter what. well worth seeing.

This was not what I expected, but it was a great story about living your life and having fun while you can.

Such a wonderful, powerful movie. I thought that it would be a nice chick flick, but it turned out to be quite horribly sad. It was a wondeful story of two quirky people finding each other and falling in love before their time was up. Very, very sad. Have a box of tissues close b... read morey. A true emotional powerhouse!!! I cried. I laughed. I enjoyed every bit of dialogue and savored every unique scene of NYC. Amanda Peet and Dermot Mulroney gave two amazing performances. This movie gives me hope in several ways: about filmmaking, life and the power of a good story.... read more It's definitely one of my new favorites.
