I enjoy kids/family films. I enjoy animal films. This film is both of these things, but...I can't say I really enjoyed this one. The acting was poor, the plot was mediocre, the jokes were hackneyed and the message was garbled. Young children may enjoy the sight of talking dogs an... read more

The prefix that describes this movie is "un". Unoriginal, unimaginative, uncreative, unenjoyable, and just plain bad.

It was a bit lame at some parts, but not a bad movie over-all. You'd probably enjoy it a load more if you're an insane dog-lover (like myself). They did a good job with matching the dog breeds with their proper dispositions. xD

The only funny and good acting in this movie was the DOGS! The Great Dane actually gave me goosebumps, she is soo beautiful!
Critic Reviews
A simple but perfectly satisfying little story about a boy who wants to keep his dog. Full Review
No new ground is dug up in Good Boy, but the story is well-paced, sweet and lively, filling a void for very young filmgoers. Full Review
A film which effectively capitalizes on the human heart's weakness for cute things. Full Review
It's fun in a kiddie-flick sort of way.
You wish Good Boy! aspired to a less formulaic cleverness and sentimentality than shown here. Full Review
Just don't be surprised if very soon you find yourself scratching at the door to be let out. Full Review
