A good come back for Bond here...Brosnan is actually a good Bond but this was the only decent Bond he made if you ask me. There are some really nice action set pieces in this one...the tank Bond drives, the dish fight at the end and Janssen is very very hot :)
The best thing in ... read more -

One of the better Bond films in the series, I've always felt that Pierce Brosnan was the perfect James Bond. It's great to see Sean Bean and Famke Janssen in the villain roles. It's also great to see Alan Cumming and Robbie Coltrane in the supporting roles. This one is action pac... read more

This film had great action, great spectacle and effects, but the only thing i didn't like about the film is the villain, Alec Trevlyan, mainly because, HES A MORON!!! He is given the perfect opportunity to shoot bond, he literally has him at gun point, and what does he do? GLOAT ... read more

My number one favourite among the James Bond movies that I've seen so far.

I liked at least the second Timothy Dalton Bond film, but the series needed a boost and a good update for the 90s, and it couldn't ahve gotten much better than this. MArtin Campbell proved here that he could make an exciting, fun, and smart Bond film, and later proved he could do... read more

Brosnan's statement as Bond, a good one but when Casino Royale came out, you forget the previous Bond decade.
Update: Sean Bean might be one of the best Bond villains ever, his Shakespearean-like delivery is like a glazed donut fresh off a diet. Definitely qualifies as a robot. -

Goldeneye is the best James Bond film since The Spy Who Loved Me. This is James Bond in a post-Cold war world, and it's a very interesting film. Everything that was corny and cheesy about the 1980's Bond films are gone, what you have here is an action packed Thriller that takes n... read more

"The name's Bond. James Bond"
James Bond is the most famous spy in the world. Not Jason Bourne or any other copycat. The spy genre started with Bond and will end with him. One of the reasons why James Bond is so popular is the fact that the series has lasted time very well with ... read more
Critic Reviews
There's something a mite pathetic about our culture still clinging to 007, but it's hard to deny that this is one of the most entertaining entries in the Bond cycle. Full Review
Among the better of the 17 Bonds and, perhaps more important for today's audience, a dynamic action entry in its own right, this first 007 adventure in six years breathes fresh creative and commercial... Full Review
Supercharged with spectacular, thundering, brain-numbing fun. Full Review
A reasonable facsimile more than any kind of original, and it's hard not to feel a certain weariness while watching it unfold. Full Review
It's BS -- Babes and Stunts -- and that's where GoldenEye excels.
Directed with top-dollar proficiency (and some real wit). Full Review
Perhaps the best entry in the series since The Spy Who Loved Me. Full Review
