Considering the amount of bashing this film got when it was released, it is kind of surprising how entertaining it is, despite of all of its flaws. Of course there is not much of a plot and the characters remain rather shallow, even though they are trying to give them a backgroun... read more

If you're jumping into this movie to be emotionally invested into the characters and plot, don't watch this. Now I am one that hates "Transformers 2" with a passion because it didn't exactly understand what direction it wanted to go. "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" is just as mindless,... read more

Completely ridiculous and over-the-top, but never boring, this movie is flawed but not quite totally terrible popcorn entertainment. I was happy to see a live action version of a fun show I grew up on, but I wasn't totally happy with the treatment of the characters, specifically ... read more

I wish Hollywood would leave my toys alone. Actually, if I'm being honest, I only had one G.I. Joe and I never played with it, I think my sister married him with Barbie and that was the last I saw of him. I was more into He-Man and M.A.S.K. - I would like to see a M.A.S.K. film t... read more

This movie wasn't very good, the action was ok. The acting was nothing special, the story didn't keep to the GI Joe universe, and the plot was lame. The action was the only positive and I will not watch this movie again.

Who cares about plot? Who cares about good acting? You've got stylish suits, pulse guns, fighting ninjas, exploding cars, hot men (and women) in leather outfits, super sonic jets, over-the-top visuals, heat seeking rockets, nanomite warheads... need I continue?

[Director] Sommers did the first two chaotic Mummy remakes; those play like Tender Mercies compared to this one. Full Review
After a first hour that plays like a bad TV show, Sommers hits his groove with an over-the-top Paris chase sequence that, in turn, leads to an underwater finale that's absurdly overproduced, momentari... Full Review
Sometimes, a film defies conventional narrative and artistic standards so utterly that it seems unfair to judge it by them.... Consider this a tone poem in 40 scraps of dialogue. Full Review
This pricey, juiceless pulp could never have been killed by critics, simply because it was already dead.
OK, it's seriously deficient in plot or acting. But in this genre, those two ingredients are as superfluous as canoes in a desert. Full Review
I could load you up with more plot details, but this mercilessly incoherent, galactically stupid movie left me too numb to type. Full Review
There's an expectation that the audience will be invested in the relationship between Duke and Ana, but the poor writing and lack of chemistry between the principals fails to sell the romance as anyth... Full Review
G.I. Joe is a loud but proficient slab of explode-o-rama summer blockbuster nonsense, perfectly entertaining if you like that sort of thing, extremely skippable if you don't. Full Review
The new G.I. Joe movie cost $175-million (U.S.) to make and is as cluttered as a nine-year-old's bedroom. Full Review
