An enjoyable mix of best friends who want very opposite things from potential husbands. For me, Jane Russell stole the spotlight in this film, whilst Marilyn was much more over the top.
As a Musical it's very forgettable, but otherwise it made for easy watching. -

A pretty good movie, it's almost exactly like How to Marry a Millionaire, but it's slightly better, mostly because it's funnier.

Marilyn being classically Marilyn. Funny how diamonds are a girl's best friend reminded me of Moulin Rouge! Still this is one of the more enjoyable early romance films. I thought it was cute and funny. And LOVE that Technicolor!!!

Not much going for plot, but I liked the glamour in this movie. Marilyn was quite a good actress, it's only the second of her films I have ever seen.

I had no idea what to expect from this one, I have to admit: it's famous for the scene that Madonna and Moulin Rouge ripped off, and for putting Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell (the latter being my preference if you must know) into Hollywood cement.
