Wonderful Corman cheese includes maggot rape and Joanie from Happy Days meeting her untimely demise. Cheese lovers rejoice.

One of the many late night films I viewed as a kid thats still fun to watch today. Roger Corman produced this interesting Sci-Fi horror movie that has two stars in the cast: Robert Englund and Sid Haig, a few gory deaths and one dirty scene of intergalactic sex.A team of astronau... read morets is sent to investigate a strange planet where they discover that a force takes advantage of their fears and kills them one by one.Sid Haig loses his hand,Grace Zabriskie is boiled to death and Erin Moran head's explodes, but definitely the most disturbing scene is when Taaffe O'Connell is raped by a huge maggot. James Cameron also worked on this project, but if you are a "Titanic" fan you should skip."Galaxy of Terror" Its suitable just for trashy films hunters like myself, and I assure the others like me they will have a great time watching it.

One of many cheesy 80's sci fi movies to come out in that decade a crew on what was suppose to be a rescue mission to find out what happened to another ship turns into a nightmare as they come across a weird pyramid that makes there worst fears come to life. Featureing a pre fred... read moredy Robert Englund and Sid Haig worth a look if your into 80's sci fi and cheesy special effects that are way outdated produced by Roger Corman who is the king of low budget

This is some high-end cheese-ball Sci-Fi! Although the credits say this film was directed by Bruce D. Clark & Peter Manoogian, the extras on this DVD go to great trouble to let you know this is really an early example of the work of James Cameron & you can see a lot of Aliens in ... read morethis film. The plot is pretty bizarre: Dispatched to a distant world to rescue the crew of the spacecraft Remus, astronauts crash land on a hostile planet named, Morganthus. The Mission Commander, ILvar (Bernard Behrens) scrambles the crew to the source of mystery: a massive pyramid. Once inside, all are tested (in the time tested fashion) one-by-one against their own inner fears! The actors are hugely over the top. This is a film that would have made a good Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode. Check it out!

A crew of astronauts travel to a distant planet to search for another crew which disappeared. The dyke captain crashes the ship because she is nuts. When they find the ship of the missing crew, everyone on board has been killed. Soon members of the search crew are dying from mons... read moreter attacks - kinda like Event Horizon, the monsters are generated by each person's individual fears (I wonder what a "dying alone" monster would look like).

This Alien knock-off has a minimal budget and an admirable amount of ambition. An assembled team of spacemen go out in search of a crew that has gone missing. Along the way, they get pulled to a planet with a bizarre alien force that feeds off their greatest fears. The cast featu... read moreres cult icons Robert Englund, Grace Zabriskie, and Sid Haig who help trudge through an initially stiff and awkward script, reminiscent of science fiction television of the 60's. The true allure is the gore factor with scenes of dismemberment, rotting bodies with maggots, and gruesome killings. There is even a giant maggot / human female rape scene that just has to be seen to be believed. James Cameron got credit for production design and he did an amazing job for the budget. The set design is amazing and the gore is plentiful. Though it stumbles out of the gate, Galaxy of Terror ends up being a very memorable and rather twisted sci-fi horror.

I first heard of this movie 30 yearFinally, after 30 years of waiting, I finally got to this movie. All I can say is, "YES!" The acting was over the top. The storyline was incomprehensible. The special effects were low-budget. And I loved every minute of it!

A truly terrible film by certain standards, but glorious in its execution and ridiculous history. How can you not be intrigued by a worm rape scene?

Well worth tracking down, easily worth a rental or just blind-buy that mother if you're the adventurous type.

Great little film for only one reason: a worm 'rapes' a woman to death. Kinda hard to see why she died. Unless she screamed herself to death. Still, a nice scene.

It's space trash but, I guess, you got to hand it to Corman for knowing how to make a film on a shoestring budget that turns a profit. Full Review

An atrociously acted and scripted piece of Roger Corman-produced low-budget schlock that's only slightly redeemed by some amusing gore and creature effects.
