Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare may not be one of the best in the series, but you have to admit it's hilarious. This is Krueger at his funniest. NOT scariest, NOT meanest, just funniest. And I don't mean the characters are so funny (although sometimes they are), but Freddy ste... read more

This is the weakest film in the series, yet. Just when you thought Freddy's Revenge was the worst sequel, this one tops it. At first, I used to love it, but now, I always notice something wrong with the film. The acting sucks, the kills are are cartoonish,Freddy looks like he's m... read more

Definitely a little more comical that I would've liked, but it does have a lot more back story and screen time for Freddy. None of the sequels besides part II really captured the magic of the first, but this is the closest it came. Just having some great moments from Freddy are w... read more

This was a bit rubbish this one, I guess you need to watch it in 3D to see how it was really intended!?

"Freddy's Dead" could've been a lot better than it was. It's the worst movie from the Nightmare On Elm Street series. The main thing I didn't like about it was that it wasn't scary at all, in fact, it's more corny than it is scary. It seems like the director tried to make some pa... read more

I love most of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies(number 2 really sucked. The final Freddy movie wasn't to bad. In my opinion they are a lot better than the Friday the 13th movies. However, I wish this movie had more guts and gore and was more scarier. Don't get me wrong I love F... read more

Back on track after Elm Street 5's departure, Freddy is his usual joke-cracking self, with a pop video soundtrack. I loved this movie. the 3-D journey inside Freddy's brain made it even more appealing. The production values were high enough, though lacking in a few areas. There w... read more

The Elm Street films have always been a cut above the competition, so to speak, with their playfully malevolent dream sequences and their mocking, ever-resourceful villain. Full Review
So long, Freddy, it's been good to know you. Full Review
Undoubtedly the nadir of the Elm Street series... Full Review
The one interesting idea -- what would a town be like if all the teenagers in it had been slaughtered in five movies? -- is thrown away with a few cheap jokes. Full Review
worst of the series
The Final Nightmare marks an end to Freddy's wisecracking ways. This surrealistic nightmare fits the style perfectly, but sometimes lacks in imagination.
It makes less sense than any preceding Nightmare film...although it's so out-and-out crazy that it's at least a little bit more entertaining than some of them Full Review
