This could have been so much better. Nice idea but on a tight budget, and thin plot lines it doesn't live up to potential. I thought Arielle Kebbel being in this might be a good sign, but it's not up to the usual quality of films she is in.
I also have to add I really don't under... read more -

Eh, nothing new. Usual back of posing, vapid medical students are taken care of one by one through "strange" circumstances. The type of film where you are rooting for the bad guy since no one else is likable. Some nice stylistic flourishes help elevate things.

This medical thriller which also goes by the title Freakdog tells the story of a group of medical students who plays a prank on a somewhat emotionally-troubled man (Kenneth) by inviting him to a bar and getting him drunk. Not knowing that (Kenneth) was epileptic, the combination ... read more

Certainly was not expecting much going in, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Sort of 'Carrie' meets 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' meets 'Anatomy', but taken a bit more seriously.
Plenty of flaws include some questionable acting, issues with pacing, a mediocre s... read more -

Interesting theory, but this would never happen. The idea of an astral body possessing someone else and causing them to kill others, is ridiculous, but still interesting.
Is "Freakdog" supposed to just keep killing every and anyone or does he stop with the last two girls? -

Oh brother. 17 year old party bimbo girls with M.D.'s. It took an hour to get past the jocko-homo-asshole high school clique style posturing to the more interesting part of the premise. One for the teenage, Paris Hilton idolizing, Survivor series viewing crowd. Where's Ted Bund... read more

This movie was predictable and cliche. Not bad if you are all about the gore factor, but not really strong on plot. Rich kids hurt a "lesser" kid, dump his body, he ends up in a coma, girl feels bad and tries to help, he possesses people and kills the kids responsible, conscience... read more

Red Mist (Freakdog) has to be one of the best movies to come out of 09 so far. Ok so the plot is based around this group of medical students who go out to party one night, and while partying decide to humiliate a loser by making him do a Freakdog. After he does it he collapses an... read more

A derivative and titter-inducingly weak slasher movie. Full Review
A very ordinary, conventional, by-the-numbers creepfest without any dark spark. Full Review
Beep, beep, wooooooo...: this moronic medical horror's so awful, you'll be willing yourself to flatline. Full Review
This is a by-the-numbers slasher dressed up as a thriller, with Holby City-level acting. Full Review
It isn't scary enough or funny enough to be worth your time. Full Review
Red Mist is a lazy, incoherent shocker with nothing to recommend it. Full Review
The plot is total rubbish, and no amount of slick film-making can make you believe it is worth all the blood and gore we have to sit through. Full Review
You've seen this all before, and you've seen it done better. Full Review
Slasher movies tend to be all about the fiend doing the carving and cutting in a search for revenge. And that's pretty much the core of Red Mist. Full Review
