Turn back, look forward
Good decent movie. The acting was really good actually but the story wasn't that interesting although it had a good ending in which it explained a lil the complicated story.
The movie is based on true events.

February 14, 2011fb796967648With I'm sure the best of intentions (and not a little hope for Oscar's roving eye), Halle Berry stars in (and produces) this big-screen Lifetime movie about a woman afflicted with a fractured personality who meets a kindly doctor who helps her Break Through To Find Herself. November 29, 2010fb720603734Great performance by Halle Berry in a ho-hum film about a woman with multiple personalities. The film feels more SCRIBBLE than SYBIL as it's kind of patched together by about 100 writers in fairly broad strokes. Not bad, not boring, just fairly standard-issue mental illness fa... read more

Critic Reviews
This movie, with its flashbacks to past sins and traumas, rests squarely on Berry, a mesmerizer who makes every moment count. Full Review
A hokey old-school drama of multiple personality disorder based, in the tradition of The Three Faces of Eve and Sybil, on a real case study. Full Review
May look like an attempt to win another Oscar for Berry, and she does give a powerful performance here. Full Review
Other than the A-list actors and high production values, there's little to nothing differentiating the film from any made-for-TV movie on Lifetime. Full Review
A feature so eager for statues it practically provides a pen and a reading light to help with any potential award ballot situation that might arise after watching it. Full Review
Frankie and Alice is the kind of grandstanding that exposes an actress' pathetic dependence on approval by others. Full Review
Less a revealing or dramatically involving case study, than an inmate taking over the asylum kind of vibe, as it lurches towards the end credits essentially way over the top. Full Review
This material feels thin, like something you'd see on the Lifetime or WE networks. It was good enough to earn a Golden Globe nomination (but who can trust those people?). Full Review
Berry's transformations...come across as borderline silly due to the sensationalistic treatment given this tawdry film. Full Review
