I wasn't expecting big things from this film, but having Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase starring in this, I had at least expected an easy watching comedy, but it had very little entertainment value.

A funny, quirky, cool comedy with a good cast and an interesting story. I saw this a while ago, but I remember it was really good. I should watch this again sometime.

Foul Play is such a good movie from the 70's. Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn are such a perfect match....I love them both. Dudly Moore has such a crazy role as a crazy bachelor trying to get Goldie. Great movie and another Goldie gem.

The right chemistry between Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase! It's a great suspense comedy, with a shy librarian discovering a plot to assassinate the Pope when he visits San Francisco. It's got a great late-70's feeling and a bit of romance. A classic.

An enjoyably daft screwball comedy featuring Chevy Chase when he used to be (almost) funny and a comparatively unannoying Goldie Hawn. Good fun.

Beware of the Dwarf. A screwball comedy starring Goldie Hawn who is inavertently thrust into a plot to murder the Pope who is visiting San Francisco. She joins forces with clumsy cop Chevy Chase in his first leading role and the fun and laughs ensue. For it's time, there are grea... read more

Goldie Hawn - playing, as always, a divorcee - meshes well with the sharp Chevy Chase in this totally ridiculous farce. It's stocked with wacky characters and unlikely coincidences, but it's an amusing enough flick if one embraces the screwy conventions. A handful of the gags are... read more

Mr. Higgins's penchant for mixing visual elegance with coarse gags is equally ill-advised, especially because it makes him work the gags so hard. Full Review
Director Colin Higgins plays foul with the audience, constructing some of the most dishonest suspense sequences ever filmed. Full Review
The comedy/thriller plods on for too long with tasteless and witless physical comedy, though it has a few funny moments. Full Review
A funny, successful, and very derivative crime-comedy. Full Review
The film clumsily and sluggishly mixes humor and suspense and fails at both. Full Review
Unsatisfactory as a whole, the film is hilarious and tense in bits. Full Review
Ocasionalmente divertido, traz Chase tentando se afirmar como galã de ação e Hawn encantadora como em quase todos os seus filmes da época. Porém, é um filme descartável.
Chevy when he was funny, Goldie when she was starting her heyday, and Dudley too. What a deal.
Charming and goofy Hitchcock homage with great performances by Hawn and Chase.
