This sequel is a very poor cash in on the first, watch the first film and leave it at that!

This sequel with Christopher Lambert who returns to reprise his role in prison again at the outer space, he must figure out how to escape again. Plagued by halfhearted performances and below-par effects, Fortress 2 cannot escape from its own inconsistencies.

A great sequel to the 1993 film "Fortress. This time, Christopher Lambert is in another prison, but in space. Planning his escape with some fellow inmates, they have a lot to deal with. A great sequel.

The only movie Christopher Lambert appeared in that I remotely liked was Fortress. This movie truly sucked though.

I've seen both Fortress movies and i hated them both. They were on during a marathon on USA and i couldn't stop laughing. The fact the second one was in space made me laugh soooooo very very hard. Cuz the special effects were beyond poor.
Critic Reviews
Bad, bad sequel to surprisingly good cult film.
This follow-up, whose natural home would seem to be video rental stores rather than local multiplexes, lacks Gordon's wit and grit. Full Review
Makes the original look like "Casablanca"
The film's combination of sex, humor and violence looks like a cynical attempt to capitalize on the unsophisticated juvenile video market. Full Review
Patrick Malahide provides a few laughs as a slightly camp governor and Pam Grier puts in a token cameo but none of it is enough to save a film that sorely lacks energy. Full Review
Leave this one to gather dust on the video shelves. Full Review
The only thing that Fortress 2: Re-entry does succeed at is in being an awful movie. Full Review
