Firewall is a cliché riddled action thriller that doesn't do anything to thrill or entertain you. Firewall is actually quite boring, and the concept, though somewhat intriguing, fails to be thrilling. Firewall disappointed me and I was hoping for something better than this. Unfor... read more

While it is nowhere near Harrison Ford's best attempt, it is a fun movie and highly entertaining. It has beautiful visuals and decent performances. The plot was actually pretty interesting and a different kind of heist attempt.

Quite typical of this style of film, so not particularly original, yet it was easy watching and had some good little technical moments. Definitely a film worth watching, liked the mix of Harrison Ford and Paul Bettany in this.

This film rips off so much from other films, I feel like I?ve seen it before! Bettany and Ford are quite good in it though!

Harrison's family are taken hostage and he has to hack into the bank to steal money. Paul is a brilliant bad guy. Harrison has to save the day. Bit of a lame ending.

A very good thriller with a well chosen cast, hits all the right spots for this type of thriller. If you liked Hostage, Panic Room you should enjoy this as well.

October 8, 2007fb619846742Saw enough to see it was really awful. Very familiar plot and Ford needs a new character, badly.

A decent and enjoyable thriller with some pretty good moments, but nothing really spetacular.
Critic Reviews
The movie gets a lift from Mary Lynn Rajskub in a glamorized version of her nerd's wet dream Chloe on 24, which is also better this year with the Chloe quotient pumped up. Full Review
This is one of the dopiest plans in the history of evil genius plans. Full Review
Firewall is barely worth seeing, despite its above-average cast. Full Review
As we watch Ford reprise his trademark mannerisms, we no longer enjoy the ring of familiarity. We just hear the tolling of a bell -- Ford's. Full Review
Firewall is the flaming arrow of truth that Harrison Ford is fully in the throes of what worried scientists are calling the De Niro Syndrome. Full Review
Ford is definitely hacking his way through something in Firewall, but it's not a computer. Full Review
It's a tricky thing, but an ideal thriller enables an audience to enjoy watching characters suffer. Here, that's difficult. Full Review
It's not long before the timely issue of identity theft takes a backseat to old-fashioned Hollywood villainy, unnecessary (and nonsensical) red herrings, and stuff that doesn't make sense.
