I remember this being a pretty good movie, but what I remember most about it is since I saw it, I call burps "mouth farts." LOL! Major brownie points and props for that!

It may not set the box office on fire, but this canine caper is more agreeable than your average underdog tale.

It was a good movie, totally for kids but to be honest I enjoy it very much.

Firehouse Dog is a surprisingly charming little family movie. Josh Hutcherson and Bruce Greenwood are good as father and son and everything the dog does is unbelieveable but still fun. It's also a better movie than any dog movie I grew up with such as Beethoven or Bingo.

Bruce Greenwood is the only plus to this film. The dog was supposed to attract me and make me laugh but it just annoyed me. The scene wher eit smashed bottles of wine wasn't funny, just painful to watch great wine(even thouhg it was a fake prop) wasted like that. Nothing pisse... read more

This was a cute flick. I actuallyl didn't want to jump out the window while watching with the kiddos like I sometimes do with these kid movies.

Critic Reviews
To me it doesn't mesh well.
Firehouse Dog is credited to three writers, but not one of them seems to have a solitary spark of an idea. Full Review
It's aimed squarely at primary schoolers, but they'll probably get fidgety before its 111 minutes elapse. Full Review
OK, Letters from Iwo Jima it's not. Firehouse Dog, though, serves a purpose, and it's a purpose you'd know quite well if you had a 6-year-old. Full Review
[The dog] looks like a cross between a rat and a llama. And he burps, farts, and even poops on dinner. Full Review
Like a loyal pet, Firehouse Dog ends up being a fun family experience all ages will enjoy. Full Review
Intertwining more storylines than a dog walker's clutch of leashes, Firehouse Dog nevertheless gets them all neatly resolved, pets in the right hands and wrongdoers in the can. Full Review
It has one of the best -- if not always the most heartwarming -- dog-and-his-boy relationships since Lassie. Full Review
If there was a good idea at the core of this film, it's been buried in an unsightly pile of flatulence jokes, dog-related bad puns and a ridiculous serial arson plot. Full Review
