Upon learning of a bizarre new world of erotica in which men known as "feeders" seek out morbidly obese women known as "gainers," Phillip is discovers that one particularly exceptional "gainer" has gone missing after topping the scales at 600 pounds. When further investigation reveals that the website was created on Toledo, Ohio, the determined investigator books a flight to the Buckeye state against the wishes of his superior. As a result of his insubordinance, Phillip is fired from his job and forced to continue the investigation on his own watch, and at his own risk. Later, after discovering the horrific true nature of the "feeder" subculture, Phillip finds himself assuming the role of avenger as his sanity plunges into the darkest depths of despair. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

    A top notch gory thriller.

Could have done with a bit less flashbacks to childhood for both the cop and the killer. Alex O'Lachlan, doesn't do as well as I expect of him all the time, but he pulls it off sufficiently enough. Some may find the ending cheeky but I found it suitab... read morele for a film with a derailed protagonist and that characteristically quirky-absurd spin so many thrillers go for.

Off the top of my head, this is the only horror or thriller that has done the "death/serial killing over the net" concept, hell just the "multimedia, digital killer" concept, well. The pacing is steady and the gore and makeup are incredible.

Really liked and was moved by (as in I felt sympathy for them) the Meiwes/Brandes tribute characters in the opening sequence (also serves up a solid second-long shot of charred penis in a frying pan). And pan-seared dicklet segues perfectly into the final touch:

the "Most Fucked Up" highlight: There are PLENTY to choose from, but for me, it's the emotional control that the killer is proudly displaying over his victim to the cop in the climax.

Disgusting, and not in a good way.

"Feed" is bizarre, sick, disgusting with an interesting premise. I personally think it could be helpful for those who need motivation for losing weight or changing their food habits.

A seriously disturbing movie (made all the more disturbing by the fact that it's based on real events). I know a lot of films claim to be disturbing and aren't but this one actually is. It's also the first film in a long time where the ending caught me completely by surprise.

For the love of God, if you are easily disturbed or prudish, DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM. If you can handle disturbing imagery and very dark, sinister scenarios... then this is a great film. Very harsh. Quite brutal. But the ending makes the whole thing worthwhile. One of the best I'v... read moree seen in a long time. I'm really glad I decided to watch this.

Okay, for starters, I will provide my usual warning and say that you should not watch Feed. That being said, Feed is an intelligent, brutal, disgusting, funny, and unforgettable piece of exploitation/horror cinema that follows one Interpol agent as he attempts to track down a ma... read moren who seems to be exploiting women by feeding them until they die on his website. As the detective's own demented desires and perversions blend with those of the criminal, the film becomes a darkly comic commentary on the cruelty that resides at the heart of the human condition. A profound and grotesque commentary on consumerist society, Feed examines how the cyber era enhances the possibilities of deviant fetishes but also depicts how these differ little from the twisted acts of brutality that occur on a daily basis in the real world.

This movie bothered me on so many levels, except probably the one it was aiming for with the storyline itself. It is morbid and disturbing in its perversity and general grossness, but that is the basis for what progresses in the story.

What bothered me is that this movie is film... read moreed like a 90 minute Floria Sigismondi and David Lachappell love child of a music video - but 90 MINUTES long. It has so many annoying visual quirks that I could barely stand to keep watching it. And when the story doesn't really twist or turn in a surprising way, it just leaves you wanting more, no pun intended.

It had a killer premise when it started, in focusing on different notorious homicides from around the world (That would have been a better film), but it then quickly shifts to by-the-numbers anti-American criticism involving morbidly obese fetishizing. The two male leads came up ... read morewith the premise but only one can act. Uninspired and tame; worthy of expanding.

I suggest giving this movie a chance if you're in the mood for something strange..or have strange fetishes. It does a satisfactory job at making its audience feel uneasy yet completely absorbed in the film.

Deeply shocking and darkly funny, Feed slowly brings its satire of consumerism and control to the boil, before ramming it right down the throat. Full Review
