Taiwanese filmmaker Chu Yen-ping directed this typically peculiar (and not too far from insane) action-comedy. Hard-bitten Lieutenant Duan Wen (Jimmy Wang Yu) puts together a crack team of commandos in order to rescue a group of Allied generals who are captives of the Japanese military. There's an escape artist, a leather-clad tough girl with a bazooka (Brigitte Lin), a couple of wisecracking guys in kilts, and Sun Yueh in an extremely bizarre costume which brings to mind a homeless person called into military service. Pearl Cheung and international superstar Jackie Chan play some petty crooks looking for some money, and Adam Cheng shows up as the apparently gay leader of a tribe of hooded Amazons. As if that wasn't enough to completely baffle most viewers, there are also some Asian Nazis running around in futuristic jeeps, some sorcerers who drink human blood, and heaping helpings of gunplay, martial arts, singing, and dancing -- all in 88 breathless minutes. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi

    Wow. Simply wow. Just when you think you've seen it all, you watch Fantasy Mission Force. I don't think any other movie can come close to the level lunacy that this movie displays for 90 straight minutes.

    For the first 15 minutes I don't think I stopped laughing once. I laug... read morehed so much that my body hurt. The only other movie that is anywhere close to this much fun is Tarkan vs. the Vikings but that movie is different. This is much more zany. It's like the 3 stooges meets scooby doo meets low budget kung fu meets musical. I would pay good money for a digitally remastered version that doesn't pan & scan just to see what else is happening in these scenes.

    The story, if you can call it that, is so completely ridiculous that I don't even want to try and explain it because I might spoil it for you. You'll just have to see it to find out. I highly recommend buying this movie. Once you see it you'll want a copy for yourself so do what I did and buy it first.

    The GREATEST WORST movie ever made. I love this and have seen in a number of time enjoying the hell out of my self.

    It's not a Jackie Chan movie, but Jackie is funny in his scenes and brings us the moral of the story in the end. The movie is pure folly. But, then again, war also is.
