A great cast but not a great film. Falls short of its potential but still worth a watch if it?s on TV!

Bloody dull drama about a three-generation crime family and this is one of my worst Sean Connery, Dustin Hoffman and Matthew Broderick's movie.

An attempt to make a comedy/drama with great movie stars, but the chemistry blows out in a void and melodramatic screenplay and poor performances.Such a waste.

Fairly minor heist movie, directed by Sidney Lumet. Good performances, but you can see certain developments coming a ways off. And, the ending is pretty TV-movieish.

This was a fun movie. Hard to think of Hoffman as such a tough guy though. The end still makes me cry!
Critic Reviews
A terrific seriocomic crime caper that nobody knew how to sell. Often feels like a 1970s movie that somehow ended up in 1989.
a bit of a mess
Utterly forgettable, even with its great cast
Star-studded cliched rubbish
Just barely worth checking out, and even then, it's only for the actors.
