Seagal plays he usual style role of a renegade cop with no respect for authority. DMX is a gangster with whom Seagal teams up with to find out who has stolen fifty kilos of heroin from the vaults of a Detroit police vault.
The teaming up of a hard cop and a hard gangster in a ... read more -

Doesn't stand out like it should in the overpopulated world of Seagal films and perhaps only got the audience and attention it got because it had the then-redhot DMX co-starring in it, whom I have a hard time believing could kick Seagal's ass in a fight, much less stand toe-to-to... read more

Rough movie, but the opening bridge explosion scene was filmed in my hometown of Calgary, so I had to check it out.

The best Steven Seagal film I ever saw since "Under Siege 2". Non-stop action and gotta hurt.

It's not "Citizen Kane", but it's good fun if you need your action fix. I rather enjoyed it, personally.

George Clark: Did you really beat a suspect unconscious with a dead cat?
Orin Boyd: No.
George Clark: No?

Disposable action flick, great potential story wise, but Andrzej Bartkowiak style always puts his action (which is good) over the story. Muddled sense of focus.

the best acting in this entire film was from DMX and Anthony Anderson...the action sequences were ok nothing out of the ordinary and the plot was also nothing new... but it was entertaining not that great but it was ok
Critic Reviews
In its low grade way, this blithely brutal cops and drugs thriller is an efficient hot wire entertainment. Full Review
The movie's just an excuse for the entire cast to point guns at each other before engaging in verbal or actual smackery. Full Review
There's no story here. The film is all about the grisly, electric mayhem that ensues when these two guys hit the streets. Full Review
For those in search of action-filled escapist entertainment who are willing to jettison expectations of credibility into the nearest popcorn tub, Exit Wounds ... will do to pass time on an inclement day. Full Review
In fairness, the movie is more or less competent for being what it is. Of course, I could say the same of most brick walls -- but I'd hardly recommend that you pay eight bucks to sit in front of one f...
Exit Wounds suggests that Seagal knows how to keep our eyes glued to the screen, when he puts his mind to it. Full Review
Imitation is the highest form of flattery, but not when it crosses the line into shameless rip-off. Full Review
Exit Wounds is really a succession of street fights, explosions, car chases and helicopter rescues in search of a plot.
You can scarcely help checking yourself for exit wounds as you leave the theater.
