The ending will have you cheering for the characters, and was pretty moving and honest for a comedy; but honestly, this took a lot of time to start going anywhere, and there are a lot of cookie cutter roles.

Surprisingly good! Hilarious! i confess that I wasn't expecting much about this movie, but luckily I was wrong and I'm glad I watched this. I can see why it received a best foreign film nomination at the Oscars.

A funny idea in search of a funny execution. Full Review
Who in the world is in charge of foreign film Oscar nominations? And what hints of greatness did they see in this artlessly benign little comedy? Full Review
An entertaining enough oddity, goosed by the added interest of its report on the high level of acting talent from Belgium. Full Review
The movie ... was one of this year's Oscar nominees for best foreign film, leading one to wonder what films were passed over to make room for it. Full Review
A sprightly, entertaining film, but one in which the satire is neutralized for laughs. Full Review
The charming Everybody's Famous is more than a little predictable and not particularly realistic - but that shouldn't seriously discourage anyone looking for light summer fun with a Flemish accent.
A likable satire on celebrity, Flemish-style, it is no less pointed than its American counterparts, just a lot less pompous.
A movie that aspires to be Muriel's Wedding and can't muster the proper wacky fraudulence to achieve that goal is a sad spectacle indeed. Full Review
