Ten years later, what was once a good-natured obligation has since blossomed into a warm friendship, with Jonathan still on the academic track and Shane finding his calling on the basketball court. When Taiwanese-born schoolgirl Carrie (Kate Yeung) transfers to their school from Hong Kong and convinces Jonathan to join her on a secret day trip to Taipei, her botched effort to seduce him in a sleazy love hotel, combined with her observations of his and Shane's friendship, soon leads her to believe that the object of her affections is a homosexual in love with his best friend. Despite her initial misgivings about the boorish Shane, Carrie soon begins to give in to the troublemaker's roguish charm when he convinces her to become his girlfriend if he is accepted into a university. Later, as Shane pulls his act together and Jonathan begins to experience a sexual-identity crisis, the former does his best to keep his feelings for Carrie secret in order to protect the feelings of his lifelong friend.     This movie, I had to watch it twice, because the subtitile and then watch the scene. I'm not complaining. I do love movie with subtitles. Having the orginial language is best. Than, dubbed. I say.

    A beautiful emotional love story from Taiwan, two lifelong best friends have unspoken and hidden love for each other, not expressed and revealed until a girl comes into their lives to hinder the relationship! Well directed! Highly recommended!

    Nicely made film of friendship and coming of age. Made to be childhood friends by school instructor, these two are inseparable. Until a new girl comes to town. Your forced to choose one, the girl or the boy? True friends are there no matter what or who you are.

    • Jonathan: You know what? When I was a child, I was the kind everybody hated. I was a real troublemaker. One time, I don't know why, I suddenly took a pair of scissors and cut the hair of the girl sitting in front on me. The teacher was so furious; she sent me and my desk to the middle of the field and forbade me from having classes with the others. Everybody was scared to be my friend. Even now, I am still afraid of that feeling. Then Jonathan came along. No matter what trouble I got myself into, he would still stick with me. He was my only friend. Then you came along. I cannot lose any one of you.
