Good fight scenes and a much more plausible story line than I expected. I think this movie gets slammed far more than it should.

May 5, 2012fb100000145236770By far, the absolute worst Marvel movie to date. "Elektra" is a spin off of "Daredevil" and completely goes off the tracks with a bad story, and horrible acting. Jennifer Garner stars as "Elektra" a hired assassin who has come back from the dead and reunited with her old sensei... read more

Jennifer Garner is a sweet-faced assassin and she works hard in the fight scene. But this version of the Marvel Comics character, and spin-off from 2003's Daredevil, lacks backbone.
On the plus side, rival assassins such as Tattoo, whose tattoos turn into fighting a... read more -

A lot better then I expected. A pretty okay story and somewhat entertaining. Definitely watchable.

I really don't mind "Elektra". While the plot takes itself much to seriously, Jennifer Garner makes sure things never get too out of hand. Garner really throws herself into the role when she really had no reason to. After all, they are making a sequel to a terrible film, without ... read more

I'll give it to Elktra, at least it tried to be a good movie and a more serious representation of the source material. The Hand actually appeared and Stick was brought in. Added to that, Jennifer Garner did a complete 360. Her acting in Daredevil was pretty bad, but she was actua... read more

Uninspiring and predictable. Get an additional half a star for the action sequences.

May 16, 2010fb733768972Although it is extremely limited on action, it seems that, that is perfectly fine. There are a few amazing scenes, give or take the corniness of a couple. I wish the story was a little more thought out, because it could have qualified as one of my favourites. The only problem wit... read more

Everything comes back to Garner, though -- and even when the movie takes itself too seriously, thankfully she never does. Full Review
Offers no surprises, and whether or not you'll appreciate its modest charms depends entirely on whether you too have been anticipating Garner's new outfit. Full Review
They should have just called this movie Contractually Obligated Sequel staring Jennifer Garner because I can see no other reason why someone as talented and as smart as she is would want to do this film. Full Review
Breathlessly boring spinoff of Daredevil.
The sad thing about Elektra is that it reveals that for all the millions of dollars now spent on them, comic-book movies are being made with no more distinction than the cheapest old Saturday-afternoo... Full Review
That she is in fact a hired assassin on a $2-million contract killing is charmingly offset by the fact that she wears no makeup and ties her (albeit ridiculously) long brown hair back in a ponytail. Full Review
What it suffers from most is the sense of offhand storytelling that lies halfway between creative laziness and cost-cutting sloppiness. Full Review
The constant talk and tease of Elektra is sure to cause even more male frustration than Catwoman and Tomb Raider, where the femmes were similarly dolled up and then sexed down to appease the nanny cen... Full Review
[Garner] is ... gloriously in gear, ready to kick some Hand.
