I laughed in spite of the fact I usually hate Ben Stiller. But a fun movie that was funny enough for me during my beach week.

I don't remember much about it but I remember thinking
A) It's trying way too hard to be funny
B) Too much slapstick humor
C) Most of the time, it wasn't my type of humor -

It's got cute moments and Ben Stiller does show enthusiasm. Unfortunately, I dont think it was enough to keep the film from getting hit and losing.

Deceivingly titled, DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY (yeah, right) is silly and as quirky as quirky can be, but if you look at Ben Stiller's other films, this is probably one of his best. It seems a bit overrated, as its Rotten Tomatoes average is 70%, and if you actually watch ... read more

I'm so glad this glad of comedians don't make films anymore. Separately, they're all pretty funny, but combine them together and you get a mess.

The most satisfying comedy of the past year -- at least among the ones starring Stiller. Full Review
... a hilariously worthy successor to the great goofball comedies of the late Seventies and early Eighties, movies like Caddyshack and Meatballs. Full Review
Just watching grown-ups get bombarded by rubber balls, you know? Makes me feel 12 again. Full Review
The movie doesn't just pussyfoot around conventionality -- it hits it square in the stomach and then leaps around shamelessly in a smug victory dance. Full Review
Thurber makes you forget convention and enjoy a genuine yukfest, full of down-and-dirty (but funny) gags and one-liners, and memorable scenes. Full Review
Gleefully commingles slapstick and scatology, satire and sentiment, in a free-wheeling farce aimed at making auds laugh until they're thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Full Review
Eventually falls prey to its own stupidity (including far too many homophobic jokes), and to a surprisingly lacklustre performance by Vince Vaughn. Full Review
