Eight medical students on a ski trip to Norway discover that Hitler's horrors live on when they come face to face with a battalion of undead Nazi soldiers intent on devouring anyone unfortunate enough... read more read more... to wander into the remote mountains where they were once sent to die. It's Easter vacation, and what better way to spend the break than skiing down the isolated hills just outside of Øksfjord, Norway? After packing their cars with enough beer and ski equipment to ensure that a good time will be had by all, the students set out for their destination and prepare for a relaxing snowbound getaway. Shortly after arriving at their remote cabin, however, the students receive an unexpected visit from a rather suspicious hiker. According to their shady visitor, the Nazis occupied this territory during World War II. In the aftermath of their brutal raping and pillaging, the locals revolted, driving the few surviving Nazi soldiers -- including their iron-fisted leader, Colonol Herzog -- deep into the hills. Neither the soldiers nor their leader were ever seen again. Everyone in town assumed that they simply froze to death. But there's something stirring out there in the trees, and it won't be long until the unsuspecting students discover how the story really ends. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

2 Words: NAZI ZOMBIES! A couple years ago Jay(a dude I work with) and I were talking about how cool it would be to make a movie about Nazi zombies. The very next week in my entertainment weekly was a review of "Dead Snow", a movie about Nazi Zombies. Took me a while, but I fina... read morelly watched it. It's an import from Norway so you have to watch it either dubbed or subtitled(the copy I found was dubbed), but really with zombies, does it matter? As a whole this is a pretty solid horror movie. Doesn't try to reinvent the wheel or anything. just kids in a cabin out in the middle of nowhere, who encounter Nazi zombies. It's got some humor and tons or blood and gore. There is one big hang up for me though. The zombies try to stab, punch, and kill/beat up the kids. I prefer my zombies to be mindless and out for brains. Not coordinate how they plan to kill, and have a synchronized stabbing(yeah it happens). Other then that, it's pretty damn entertaining. If you want a good horror flick, then check this out.

A pretty decent low budget Norwegian horror film. Slightly tongue in cheek humour as well, very gory in places. A bit slow to start but the climax towards the end is great from such a little production. A perfect winter horror for zombie, gore fans!

Nazis zombies? Hell yeah, I saw the poster of this film and I had to see it. When I did, I enjoyed but felt that there was a lot to improve. Dead Snow is enjoyable and is a well thought of idea. But unfortunately Dead Snow ventures in territory previously explored in the classic ... read moreNazi zombie film Shock Waves, which is the best of it's kind. Dead Snow is part horror and part comedy. The film is good for what it is, but it's nothing truly spectacular. However you must admire this different take on the Nazi zombie genre. The back story was pretty interesting, and I thought it was well executed. Considering that this is a foreign film, I thought that the acting, effects and story were great. But the film leaves a certain feeling that the film makers could have done slightly better. But the end result isn't bad at all. The film has plenty of gore and guts to satisfy any zombie fanatic. The weakest point of Dead Snow is the fact that it tends to drag on, and it's fairly slow to get to the point. But despite the fact thats it's imperfect at times, Dead Snow remains a solid enough zombie flick to enjoy and is the best Nazi Zombie film since 1977's Shock Waves. The film has plenty of good points that overshadows the bad and taking into consideration that some Zombie maestro's are losing their touch, Dead Snow is a breath of fresh air despite its flaws.

It's a zombie movie...and the zombies are Nazi...what's not to like?

Sure the rest of the film is (mostly) predictable, but it doesn't take itself seriously and while silly at times...it's really a pretty solid horror film.

This movie really didn't know what it wanted to be as it went from straight horror to silliness over the course of a few shots. While it's an interesting premise and I'm sure it will appeal to a lot of zombie fans I just wanted it to be a little more consistent.

Really outrageous and low-budget, but it's Nazi Zombies so you can't lose. I kind've like that the effects are so bad and it looks so fake because it brings a very harmless charm to it. While this is by no means a great story in terms of the main characters and their mountain vac... read moreation, the invasion of zombies just makes it way more interesting. The gore and violence is really extreme and glorious.

The market is becoming overly saturated with zombie movies. As much as I love the sub-genre, I have to admit that even I am getting sick of it (just look at my review for the pandering, Zombieland). Still, this is a decent zombie film with lots of gore and humorous nods to other... read more films. It's never really scary and the build-up is a bit slow. However, the filmmakers are having fun with their Nazis (and who wouldn't) and once the slaughter begins, it picks up speed. There's a part of me that enjoys zombies as much as the next person, but at the same time wishes they'd pause for a bit. Am still waiting for the zombie flick that will return the subject to its' original true horror.

HAHAHAHA! Four of my favorite things: Gore, Humor, Zombies, and Nazis! This movie managed to gross me out, and crack me up at the same time. Fun movie! and well done to boot.
