Yet another good quality animated Marvel adventure. Dr Strange is not one of the most famous characters out there but he's pretty interesting. Here he comes across as House MD. A doctor that is rude and becoming less and less concerned about helping people. An accident soon robs ... read morehim of the ability to use his hands. This is a great plot device and makes a change from the dead loved one schtick (though he has one of them as well). Monsters, magic, demons and sorcery come thick and fast. The story is pretty basic, as with many origin stories. A shame as this could have been something really different.

this was the weakest of the marvel animated films so far, but it was still good enough to watch. the story was slow and the build up uninteresting, but it was cool to see dr strange come about. the time spent as sorcerer supreme was also limited and unsatisfying. this should h... read moreave been much better but it was still good enough to leave me encouraged about the marvel animated films.

I never followed Doc Strange when I was a kid unless he crossed over with Spider-Man so I can't comment on how much it varies or is similar to his origins but I can say it is extremely slooooow. At 1hr 16min it feels like about 2. It spends most of the running time having Strange... read more learning how to deal with his damaged hands and having him perform Karate Kid-like tasks. Once he comes into his own though its entertaining enough.

A famous doctor Stephen Strange injures his hands in car accident. Through most the movie he's doing a lot of soul searching to get on his feet and the movie is a bit like Batman Begins. But the movie has it's moments even if I didn't think Strange climbing a Tibetan mountain wit... read moreh injured hands was one of them.

Not the best of the Marvel animated fare and definitely not up to the DC quality of animated movies but it's not horrible in fact it's on the decent side of things. A little too dark for children but not so dark that you'll rush out and tell all your grown up friends about the m... read moreovie.

"Doctor Strange" 10 Scale Rating: 6.5 (Decent) ...

Not bad, but Marvel animation just doesn't hold a candle to DC. I'm pretty sure that Marvel will take motion picture dominance anyway ... heh.

The subplot of Wong & the other warriors/protectors is the most interesting part of the entire story but, it does nothing, and I mean NOTHING, ...to save this slow & predictable direct to video movie from being lame & almost pointless! The animation was the best thing about the m... read moreovie & the comic images at the end, during the credits, was probably the best thing of all.

Having grown up reading comics I can honestly say that I gave it one & a half stars for nostalgia & half a star for the graphics; that's all its good for.

A Marvel Animated direct-to-DVD feature, it's pretty decent. Good looking, mostly 2-D, with enough characterization to pass the time away, not to mean that they are necessarily deep. For comic fans, it's fun and a neat interpretation of the Doctor.

Weeellllll.....It sort of kind of bore a passing resemblance to the comic. A bit too much "Batman Begins" there at the beginning. Not a riveting watch, but not too bad either. A good time filler.

This was not a comic hero I was familiar with but this is a great movie. I wonder if they will ever take this one to the big screen....
