One of the few Swiss-produced films of the 1940s to gain an international release, Last Chance was distributed in the US by MGM. The film stars E.G. Morrison, John Hoy and Ray Reagan as three American... read more read more... officers who come to the aid of a group of Italian refugees. Tension mounts as the officers do their utmost to see their charges safely over the Alps. If the names of the leading actors seem unfamiliar to you, that's because they weren't actors, but genuine Allied pilots who'd been shot down near Switzerland and who agreed to appear in this film before being mustered out. Similarly, the refugees are the genuine article. Last Chance's enthusiasm and sincerity compensates for any lack of polish or skill among the amateur performers. The dialogue is spoken in several languages, requiring the film to be subtitled in every country where it was released. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    Last Chance
This movie made in 1945, my guess it was produced by a foreign film company, there are many languages in the film, English, Italian, Swiss, German, and more the subtitles don't translate a lot during the movie. This is a WWII Movie, two Soldiers one of the American, ... read moreand one British, are on there way by train to German Prison camp. When the train comes under attack from the air, and the escape. The are in Italy and try to make it to Switzerland, and during there journey they come across refugees who are also trying to get to Switzerland. This came from the Mill Creek Combat Classic 50 Movie Collection and this film is in such bad shape that I think no one could restore it, looks as if it went through the war itself. Its a C Movie at best trying hard to become a D-Movie if such a thing exist. But I will give it 2 stars
