memorable, funny and gets to point, it's very rare that I love these films so much, it just fits perfectly as one of those films that you want to watch constantly and sticks in your mind.

Sweet animation about Gru the wickedest man who plans to steal the moon. His heart softens when he adopts three little orphan girls. Agnes is my favourite. The minions are crazy tic tac like figures. Voices by Steve Carell, Russell Brand and Julie Andrews. Cute movie.

Despicable Me is fun. It's much like Monsters vs Aliens and Megamind really but maybe with a little more intended 'cuteness' but with careless predictability, albeit unimportant. I liked it. The minions weren't as great as I'd anticipated but were still good, but the 'He's so flu... read more

Gru: It's like my heart is a tooth, and it's got a cavity that can only be filled with children.
"Superbad. Superdad."
Despicable Me is a funny and smart animated film. It uses a story that has been done many times in the past, but they put their own little spin on it. It basi... read more -

Wonderful characters fill this film, in this Annie meets Bond Villain style film. The minnions of course provide great humour throughout, as do the voices of Steve Carell and Russell Brand.
Definitely a good one for the kids and the majority of grown ups too. -

Despicable Me was one of the best animated films of 2010. The plot has been done and dusted many times before but it actually adds something to the equation and doesn't resort to rehashing. It also has a pretty good soundtrack. Plus, A lot of memorable lines and characters and of... read more

I expected a lot more greatness from this one after how much I'd heard about it. It was not as funny, unique, or good as I thought it would be. But to be fair, I also did not see it in 3D, which was most of the jive I'd heard about it. Perhaps I would've enjoyed it better if I had.

Critic Reviews
This animated thing pretty near out-Pixars Pixar. Full Review
The result is a sweet and witty bit of animated fun with both eye-popping 3-D effects and a warm heart. Full Review
There's a fine line between gleeful anarchy and wasted energy, and Despicable Me has a wonderful knack for staking out its spot and staying on the right side. Full Review
So much is going on in this movie that, while there's nothing worth despising, there's not much to remember either. Full Review
Welcome to the on-screen psychoanalysis of Joan Rivers, of which she seems equal parts willing participant and antagonist. Full Review
The movie finishes strong, managing to be sweet without being saccharine. It's no Toy Story 3, but Despicable Me is a solid alternative. Full Review
It's all thoroughly adorable, and with an overlay that's nearly as odd as Carell's accent: Despicable Me looks a lot like other computer-animated pictures... Full Review
An improbably heartwarming, not to mention visually delightful, diversion. Full Review
Despicable Me may not be the most sophisticated kids movie ever, but it stacks up against recent animated fare like How To Train Your Dragon the way The New York Review of Books compares to USA Today. Full Review
