An early, derivative effort from Charles Band's incredibly prolific direct-to-video outfit Full Moon Productions, this is an undercooked stew of a dozen horror plots, particularly Child's Play and Nig... read more read more...ht of the Living Dead. A tough lady-cop (Tracy Scoggins) is forced to curtail her task of collaring a pair of sleazy gun-smugglers in an abandoned toy warehouse when the toys suddenly spring to life at the command of a murderous demon-child. While the policewoman tries vainly to organize the hapless humans trapped in the warehouse (pudgy rent-a-cop, transient, chicken delivery boy), the possessed playthings move in for the kill. The silly proceedings are helped along by whirlwind editing, the attractive, butt-kicking Scoggins, and a colorful assortment of monsters -- including a fanged jack-in-the-box, a laser-shooting robot, a ferocious teddy bear and the potty-mouthed "Baby Oopsy-Daisy." Though pretty slick overall, the entire exercise is flattened by the script's dreadful attempts at humor -- particularly from the demon himself, whose stupid Freddy Krueger-isms are like nails on a blackboard. ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi

Yes its totally stupid and not in the least bit scary, I dunno why its referred to as a horror, but this cult is highly enjoyable with its basic charming effects. Of course its ridiculous and has a high trash content with strong levels of cheese but with a film about killer dolls... read more what do you expect, its much more of a light hearted horror/comedy.

The main swing here is the dolls of course, a killer teddy bear, a baby doll, a robot and a jack in the box, all of which actually look kinda cool, not scary more eerie and bizarre, think killers Muppets haha. The sequences where the dolls attack are pretty amusing and the highlight of the film, with their limited movements and funny voice work its hard not to enjoy despite how silly it is watching a grown adult thrash around as he's being attacked by a psychotic Fozzie the Bear lol!

The whole concept is hard to pull off but its an interesting one with toys coming alive, much like 'Toy story' and 'The Twilight Zone' its a fun route to explore, plus the dolls are always well designed and made with obvious care and attention.

From the writer of Batman Begins comes this obvious but sometimes creepy made-for-tv horror. The real stars are the toys themselves but their are only 4 that are noticeable. Their kills also lack originality, with most of them being biting. The baby character was quite funny and ... read moredisturbing. The toys were brought to life really well with puppets.stop motion etc. Nice old skool practical effects. It's an easy and enjoyable watch that's hard to dislike.

A silly low-budget horror comedy. A pregnant police woman, a chicken delivery boy, a fat hairy security guard, a gun dealer and a homeless punk girl (who knows all about demonic toys) are trapped in a toy warehouse against a small group of evil toys and their demonic boy master. ... read moreThe effects are bloody, which consist mostly of the toys gnawing off peoples' faces. It's a limited setting, but lots of action. The foul-mouth baby doll's voice didn't quite fit. The bear who could turn into a man-sized beast was hilarious. I liked the little McCauley Culkin-like Toy Soldier, and the demon boy with the scary voice. The plot was fairly simple, but had enough scenes, like the recurring dream of the boys playing a game of 'War' and the Halloween flashback, to spice up an otherwise run-of-the-mill killer toys story. It would've been great to see more possessed toys turned loose on the general populace.

I ws going to say this ripped off of Puppetmaster, but the same guy wrote this very similar bad film.

"Demonic Toys" is the most boring horror film I've seen. The surprising thing is that it's written by David Goyer who worked on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight! You have to be really bored to get some enjoyment out of this waste of an hour and a half. Not recommended.

Another Full Moon gem. A group of folks are trapped in a warehouse with a gang of possessed toys. Watch for the baby's creepy voice and the robot's awesome laser attacks.

This is pretty ghetto but I thought Bentley Mitchum was hott. Haha. This movie was pretty cool. Especially the ending. And it was funny as hell. Great!

Where do I begin with this lovely demonic movie? Haha, well this will definitely entertain you. Not necessarily your run on the market academy award movie but still quite entertaining and not a bad script. Not a movie for all which is fine, just makes me love it more. Loved all t... read morehe toys especially the Jack-Attack, and the bad-mouth Baby Oopsie Daisy. Here, again another cult classic from the fullmoon vault with actress Tracey Scoggins!
