The Crypt Keeper has always looked pretty dodgy if you ask me hehe a pretty bad puppet but hey its not all about him. The actual set for his crypt always looks cool in a Munster/Addams type way which is fun and kooky, nothing special though.
So ye olde Crypt Keeper intros the st... read more

This horror movie has a good background story, but I didn't like the characters, they didn't seem to fit right or something. This movie is kind of a mess, but it could be worse. Overall, it's just okay.

I really wish Billy Zane were the villain in more movies, he's just so deliciously wicked here. I now have a massive evil-crush on him. In fact, I'd really like to see that same character in another horror movie. It seems such a shame to say goodbye to The Collector. Anyway, this... read more

This movie is completely over the top cheesy entertainment, and more fun than it has any right to be.

Really good horror comedy action movie. This is the first in what was supposed to be a series of movies based on the tv show and comics. Unfortunately they only managed to get two flicks out before the franchise ran out of steam.

Great atmosphere, acting and gore make this movie a must have. The story is surprisingly unique even for a horror film and set up beautifully for multiple sequels. Billy Zane gives an excellent performance,as do most of the cast members. Superb acting from William Sadler too.

Between scenes of splattering gore in which severed heads literally roll across the floor, the movie has a good time spoofing itself and a gallery of mostly sleazy characters who confront a crew of bl... Full Review
Next time out, let's hope it involves a story that can stand on its own, without having to be propped up by the Crypt Keeper's silly patter. Full Review
The movie isn't particularly well-paced, and I found it dull. Full Review
Good entertainment stretched to three times its natural length is rarely three times better, but bad entertainment dragged out that long will typically be three times worse. Full Review
There's still a lot of filler in this chiller. Full Review
Good-humored gore, ably directed by Ernest Dickerson. Full Review
The first in a series, but standards will need to impove if it's to survive. Full Review
Billy Zane's finest hour. Yeah, I know, that's depressing.
