If whatever is shown in this film is true, it's weird to know that churches are better off serving the devils than helping the victims. 'Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind' would have been appropriate for this flick.

A powerful and thought provoking piece of work that tackles the hypocrisy of not religion, but organised religion. It is disturbing and will stay with any viewer long after they have seen it. The films real success comes in Oliver O'Grady who talks about his crimes in such a matt... read more

This is a very, very powerful and unsettling documentary about the molestation of children by Catholic clergy, focusing mainly on Oliver O'Grady, who throughout his tenure as a priest molested and raped dozens of children by gaining the trust of their families and then betraying ... read more

March 4, 2012fb100001266995067The greater documentary ever made and I'll try to leave personal views out of this but it'll be hard to with the strong opinions I have on the catholic churches handling of child molestors. The statistics in this film were shocking. For example one of ten priests graduate from St... read more

November 28, 2010fb20312798Its difficult to determine who is the worse monster, Oliver O'Grady who sexually assulted hundreds of children (some even infants) or the leadership of the Catholic Church who went at great lengths to cover up the crimes of him and countless others in the priesthood. Either way, ... read more

Critic Reviews
Works best when it concentrates on O'Grady and the ever-rippling effect of his transgressions. Full Review
No report I have seen takes us so disturbingly inside the mind of the abuser as Amy Berg's Deliver Us From Evil.
Deliver Us From Evil has a few things wrong with it, including an egregious musical score, but without resorting to sucker punches, it takes your breath away while making your skin crawl. Full Review
A stunning indictment of institutional betrayal. It plays like a Catholic Watergate, going right to the top with hard evidence that stuns, dismays and sickens. Full Review
The church declined to comment to Berg. Her film speaks volumes about its silence -- and about a wrong that can never be righted. Full Review
What truly sets Deliver Us from Evil apart from other documentaries is interviews with the monster himself. Full Review
Even people who reject the idea of inherent evil may be shaken by Berg's scrupulous yet passionate recounting of the story of Oliver O'Grady. Full Review
Deals with emotionally charged material, so it should surprise no one that it includes one of the most wrenching moments ever captured on film.
After watching this film, you will believe that evil exists on earth. That the movie deals in truth and established facts makes it all the more disturbing. Full Review
