Nat Banyon (Black) is an orphan just looking to get back on his feet after an extended convalescence in a Wyoming hospital. When by chance Nat spots a bad car accident and bravely acts to save the life of the car's eccentric driver, Herman Finch (Coyote), the grateful wheelman kindly extends an offer of work to the young drifter, with the understanding that room and board will be provided free of charge. Assigned the task of cleaning up Finch's rundown Deepwater motel in exchange for a street-worthy car, Nat sets about performing his duties while slowly becoming aware that, in this ramshackle motel, nothing is as it seems and no one can be trusted. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Lucas Black is a good actor and this starts well but loses it way towards the finish and ends up being a muddled mess.

This was probably the most boring movie I've ever seen. Good twist, but the movie was just stuffed full of unnecessary scenes that not only made it longer than it needed to be, but was super boring on top of it.

Decent film, good twist. I almost stopped watching it, it was kinda boring for the most part but I'm glad I finished watching it.

Who really missed this ending? You should have realized he was nutso the first time he was talking to Iris behind the curtains when she was actually on the other side of the motel working. It was still a good movie even though you knew where it was going from the very beginning.

this one kept my attention. Love Lucas Black and his southern drawl. It worked in Slingblade pretty good too!

Kind of boring, but Kristen Bell made it kind of worth it. She rocks every time! The woman is probably the best actress in Hollywood!

The movie had it's moments and a great twist at the end, but it seemed like the movie was too short for 90 minutes so they decided to fill in the immense gaps with Lucas Black shirtless. Mr. Black does have some very raw sexuality mixed with his accent but the movie was just too... read more slow and did little to build suspense. Lesley Ann Warren was seriously under-utilized in this movie and her comedic talents absolutely wasted.

interesting plot twist at the end but overall did not deliver. Lucas Black did a good job of acting. Script seams flawed.

Again, I go against the grain with most others. This time I rate this higher. Why? Because it is mysterious until the end. Yes, Lucas Black type casts his TV role as Caleb from the American Gothic TV series 10 years ago. Still, it is a good mystery.

A whole lot better than most direct-to-video crime thrillers; it's just that this particular story's been done to death by this point. Full Review

O clima inquietante construído pelo diretor estreante, somado às boas atuações (de Black e Coyote, em particular) e ao bom roteiro (mesmo com alguns furos), transforma o filme em uma boa surpresa.
