Somewhat decent, but very forgettable comedy, Dead Man on Campus is a fun comedy that though flawed manages to be entertaining. The story isn't anything great, but for the most part it brings on a few laughs. This is a film that is mindless fun. I enjoyed the film for what it was... read more

One of the better American college movies due to a great and simple premise "If your roommate dies, you get an A", which makes for a great comedy.

dumb and borderline offensive but if you're in the mood for mindless entertainment it's okay

Great hilarious with the college roommates facing failure who turn to an old school code that awards a 4.0 GPA to the surviving roommates of a suicide victim. Lochlyn Munro's party animal character makes me laugh.

The best university life movie I've seen. Coop and Josh's plan to drive soemone over the edge is funny enough, but the people they target are even better. See this movie if you haven't already.

Critic Reviews
It is a movie whose appeal will diminish in direct proportion to the number of years it has been since you were a sexually-frustrated, pimply-faced undergrad. Full Review
This limp 1998 comedy tries hard to be both irreverent and ethical by suggesting that deceit motivated by self-interest is OK as long as no one gets hurt. Full Review
If you have a roommate you really want to see suffer, here's a suggestion: Buy him or her a ticket to Dead Man on Campus. Full Review
The trouble is that it's not remotely funny enough not to seem merely strained, silly and even disgusting in its ultimate endorsement of conning your way into academic survival. Full Review
All three would-be suicides are over the top and fun to watch. Too bad the film they're in seems to have been at least partly written and directed by Beavis and Butt-head. Full Review
It represents yet another reason to avoid the multiplexes until the late-year Oscar contenders start arriving. Full Review
Dead Man on Campus, as you may have already wagered, is the kind of movie that's no good. Full Review
The overall premise, involving mental illness and suicide, isn't all that funny, at least not in practice, and the picture begins to seem labored and long. Full Review
Surpise, surprise! This college comedy is better than you'd expect. Full Review
