I know that Bette Davis is a classic actress that a lot of people love. This is the earliest movie of her's that I've seen. I really have not been impressed by her much though.

Wow, what an uninteresting melodramatic mess this movie was. Aside from one or two good moments, it just consisted of a lot of over-the-top writing and awkward performances.

Underrated film. Bette Davis does indeed overact in this one, but that's part of the charm of the film. This oldie still packs a punch. Good support from Alison Skipworth, but it's Bette's film all the way.
