A fun film in spite of a drab storyline and most enjoyable because of the dance scenes! The male lead is handsome, likable and gives a reasonable acting performance and there's good support from Kris Kristofferson and Vanessa Williams.

As far as feel-good movies go, this one works in spite of a bloated running length (over two hours) and a plot that could use an injection of originality. Full Review
The movie sees Ruby, the Williams character, clearly and with surprising truthfulness; she has a depth associated with more serious movies. Full Review
