Actually a movie about natives today, and not perceived sterotypes. Makes me wanna go home everytime I see it. "I still got the mornin wood" One of the best lines of all time.

All of the actors did an outstannding job and it is a wonderful movie dispite the dark theme. This story depicts the realiyt of what some First Nations/ American Indians(Natives) have experinced.

: I don't want trouble in here. Two things happen to a man in jail. He comes out a killer or he comes out a Christian. Either way, I don't want him in here.

Wonderful, little-known film. It amazed me how much I liked it despite the tragic theme and all. The actors were unknowns and absolutely perfect.

Based on a book by W.P. Kinsell and made into a t.v. show later. Could have been better but it gets mired quickly by bad acting. For a Native film it's interesting to watch but not that good.

Great to see Native actors in REAL roles! Great story, 5 tissues! I need to own this one too, it is hard to find.
