Critters 2: The Main Course is the sequel to the highly enjoyable horror comedy Critters. The people of the Kansas town first menaced by the little, furry creatures find that they are not yet safe as ... read more read more...they are again assaulted when the creatures reproduce. Charlie (Don Opper) is joined by Lee (Roxanne Kernohan) as all join forces to save the town. The special effects, particularly the ""critters" are again, superb, but the direction by Mick Garris is less self-assured than in the original feature. While still enjoyable, Critters 2 is not nearly as much fun as the original, but still well worth a view. ~ Linda Rasmussen, Rovi

Second entry in the Critters franchise a fun, entertaining sequel. Picking up where the first left off, Critters 2 is a good follow up to the first film. The film is an enjoyable sequel, and considering that this film is a sequel, it succeeds where most sequels fail, capturing th... read moree essence of the original film. I would say that Critters 2 is on par with the original. Fans of the first film will surely enjoy this film, as it keeps everything that made the first one good and throws it a few new ideas in the mix. What you get is a film that builds on what made the first one terrific and makes it just as entertaining and fun.If you've enjoyed the first film, then you're most likely going to enjoy this film. A terrific comedy horror film thats very entertaining from start to finish. As far as horror sequels are concerned, Critters 2 does a great job at building on the success of the first and being just as entertaining as the first. The film is a must see for fans of the series, but unfortunately is also the last good Critters sequel, after this entry, the Critters films started going downhill. An entertaining and fun sequel to a memorable horror comedy.

More of the same really but on a bigger scale with the action moving to a small town rather than the nearby farm house. A bunch of familiar faces from the first movie return to do battle with the Critters once more. Slightly better than the first I thought.

The sequel!!! its bigger, better and even today a really good horror comedy :)
This is everything the original was but simply with more of everything that made the first good, the gore is upped to the max with loads of silly, bloody moments that make you laugh and wince haha plen... read morety of critter attacks and chewed up human remains hehe
There are many decent touches in this film that really makes it better than the first, which is unusual for a low budget B-movie. The cast is mainly the same which keeps good continuity, the bounty hunters are back and we see alittle of their backstory and life off earth as bounty hunters, alittle insight into intergalactic law and other alien life which is nice. We get a nice story arc, surprise death of a main character, some really nice effects that hold up well today, some good amusing moments, funny critter deaths in various silly ways and as said plenty more blood n eating.

Its basically a rerun of the first but with everything pumped up and bigger...as all good sequels should be, more along the lines of 'Gremlins' this one, popcorntastic!!

This franchise is so underrated. It's Gremlins but with an Aliens twist, there's a lot of fun to be had here for sure. The rest of the sequels are not this good.

These flicks are nothing but cheese. But that's why I like them.

    Okay.
  • March 13, 2007
The sequel horror film takes off where the first one ended, but dwells too much on a dopey subplot.
  • January 7, 2012
Critters is essentially a clone of the Gremlins films, and it follows suit with that series by adding more comedy and more campy kills. I think its a far better film and much more entertaining. Sexy supermodel aliens, man-eating Critter balls this things a B-movie schlock-fest ... read morethat someone decided to give a decent budget to. If you liked the original Critters then you should love Critters 2.

    At times, hilarious.

This film is just terrible its funny in a way but the really funny thing is how bad the acting story and horror is just a terrible weak horror film do not see this piece of junk go watch Gremlins 2 instead

If Critters was a sorry replay of Gremlins, then Main Course anticipates in many ways the barn-burning Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Full Review

Probably the worst of the Critters series (and that's saying something).

Just as good as its predecessor ... which was actually a pretty good time!

Almost as good as the first film, it's alone worth seeing for the return of Terrence Mann as the funniest intergalactic bounty hunter in the history of cinema.
